Listen in to the voices in your head!

I was hyper all night last night because my bastard retarded brain decided that was the best way to react when faced with bedtime. I did loads but when I got to bed at 5:15am I knew sleep would happen quickly so I watched the process. Those hypnogogic voices you hear on your way to sleep sometimes came immediately and I listened to them for a few minutes! Different voices were talking to each other, having decent conversations inside my head! I've forgotten most because I fell asleep soon but one included an old woman asking another voice which was the most efficent washing machine she could by and why. I can trace that back to the question on my Physics paper that day too!

It's really interesting, has anyone else noticed these "voices" having organised conversations on your way to sleep? I wanna do it again!

I sometimes have them, right before I fall asleep. But they are more like loud thoughts, and they splutter random things. I've never really given them much thought before.

yes! I get them alot. Its fun to hear! esp when you wake up from it and think, "wtf was i thinking?" And while these voices go on inside your head, they make perfect sense. Its like one minute I'm just noramlly daydreaming about the day and then the next minute I hear myself ask a cartoon dog about pilots... wierd, BUt really funny!

I've heard the voices discussing whether or not I will fall asleep. I've also found you can will them into coming sometimes by taunting them. I also find the voices before I go to sleep are usually abusive and rude rather than conversational.

      What about music?

Yeah yeah, voices are sooo 1990's, lol. yeah i get them too.
But what about music, i regularly hear a piano playing what seems to be random notes, but actually quite a nice piece of music.
Or sometimes loud clicks, bangs and squealing.

I hear the voices, but they aren't usually having conversations, just random gibberish.
Broken shards of a shattered dream,
Thrown against the wall of time,
We all end up in pieces.

Man, I dont like all of you. You are crazy - you hear voices!!!
No just kidding, I hear em too - sometimes before I get to sleep othertimes after I wake, other times when I'm really sleepy. And it is not just random voices, sometimes its like I'm thinking, but about strage stuff, and answering to myself - its not as cool as it sounds

Try just as your going to sleep, let those voices go into your dreams, you can hear it alot better and actul kinda ask yourself question, it all makes sense in your dreams but our so called reality screws it up.

Yup, I have this happen sometimes. It's awesome!
When it happens to me, its when I'm really sleepy and almost asleep, but it'll wake me back up again.
My thoughts will wander and i'll start to hear quiet voice that I can't quite understand. Then I'll suddenly get a really loud and clear voice and that will snap me back to awareness and the voices stop.

Like a few weeks ago, I was away from home for a few days, while the rest of my family was also away, but for 2 weeks. Our neighbour was taking care of the dog while I was away. On the second night I had this voice thing happening, and suddenly I heard my sister's voice say "What about Skip?". It was really clear and scared the crap out of me. I then started to worry that maybe the neighbour had forgotten to feed the dog (named Skip). I soon fell asleep though and all was fine.
