Unhappy How the hell am I supposed to stay calm when this girl is screaming at me?

I had SP a few nights back, and I decided to stay calm and just go along with the ride. Suddenly, as my thoughts were racing, I had imagery of my room being tinted red and orange, and there was a girl beside my bed. She was wearing a white robe, and had long, black tangly hair covering her face. I was kind of creeped out by this image, because I was actually just thinking about a nice tree at my old house. Then, this bch starts screaming in my face, and I couldn't help but freak out. I was hearing her screams in my room, and something was banging against my dresser. I broke out of the SP, and shortly after fell back asleep again.

Okay, for one, how do I stay calm during something like that? And two, how do I jump into a dream through SP? What does this transition feel like?

go back to sleep as soon as possible, some people achieve lucid dreaming this way, ignore your fear, keep your mind occupied on posotive thoughts and this will work since the human mind is able to process only one thought at a time, usually the transition is automatic and takes you directly to a dream and once you feel like you can't feel your real body anymore you are asleep again, if you wish to awaken you can also move your neck left to right and move your fingers, do this constantly nonstop and you will stay in a more awakened state, usually you hallucinate more the less awake you are in sp

It sounds to me like the screaming girl is something you are going to have to over come. Try to will her away. If she won't go think of other things. If you are in sleep paralysis just hang in there for as long as you can, even with some crazy girl screaming at you. If you can outlast the odd little things that happen during sleep paralysis you should slip into a lucid dream soon after.

The transition feels different depending on who you talk to.
When I was in mid SP I had to fight to calm myself and then decided to dream, and did. Sometimes there was no feeling, a dream would just start and I'd be in it. Other times I'd get a slight tipping sensation as I began to dream. Nothing severe.

      That was so long ago.

I'm curious, how did you get into SP in the first place?

You could wake up with it, because normally your paralysis will wear off before you wake up from a dream, but sometimes you may wake up from a dream while your body is still asleep and is paralyzed. Your body goes through SP every time you sleep, you just don't usually feel the process happening because your mind is already asleep.

I pretty much always wake up partially paralyzed, never fully. Probably about 3 times a week I'll wake up in the morning kind of numb, then close my eyes for a few seconds to try and go back asleep. Then, the SP process hits instantly and my body locks up. I always decide at this point to either stop it, or just let it happen and try to LD. I've almost entered a dream once, and I can't describe how the transition felt, but I remember being in a dream but still feeling my physical body laying down in the bed.

Of course, I've only waken up into the process of SP; I don't know what it's like to wake up with your body fully paralyzed before you can stop it from happening.

(BTW, thanks for the help guys )
