      False Awakenings?

In my dream last night, I had a False Awakening. But I was wondering what the actual definition of one is. I was dreaming, and my dream "ended" and I rememeber being in my room and checking the time (but I had no idea that I had already been dreaming and didn't think I was awake). I then woke up a few seconds after that.

That isn't a true false awakening, is it? I would have to think I was awake, right?

It was a false awakening, it doesn't mean anything. It happens a lot when you're trying to lucid dream.

Sometimes when I'm delaying my alarm with the snooze button in the morning, I'll have several false awakenings just about looking at my alarm clock and seeing wierd times. Sometimes I'll be looking at the clock in my dream and it'll say 5:56 and then the clock will actually wake me up with an alarm and when I open my eyes, the actual clock will be in the exact same position the dream clock was in the dream, saying 5:50. It kind of freaks me out sometimes.

Hey guys, I know this is not really on the subject matter, more about just when you wake up in general. I've had a few times where I've been in a really deep sleep and my alarm will just really shock me when I wake up and I jump out of bed really confused then I'll do really dumb things like try and turn my alarm off by pressing my light switch and thinking why isn't this working or one time I fell asleep with some music left on I woke up in the middle of the night and was thinking what the heck is that noise and where is it coming from i was sat on my bed for like two minutes trying to figure out what the noise was and where it was (my cd player was right next to my bed). I walked into my bathroom to see if it was coming from outside or in that room and it wasn't so I walked back into my room and then thought of course it's music how could i be so stupid, so obvious. One other time I was trying to turn my T.V but it was the wrong remote and the worst thing was I was even pressing the buttons I was just randomly mashing at the control thinking work damn you what about you lot

I do the same exact thing! I'll wake up to my alarm and just be so disoriented. I'd just sit up in bed wondering what the heck is going on and why is there a loud noise?

False awakenings are to switch you from one dream into the next one. That's why they happen, they don't have a deeper meaning.

reality check can be easy, if you feel youre not sure if youre awake, youre sleeping because when you are awake you will be 100 percent sure, also always see yourself in the mirror for reality checks, there will always be at least one thing different about you
