I find that changes to my sleep schedule affect my recall greatly.
For example, Tuesdays and Thursdays I have to get up about an hour and some minutes earlier than usual for band, and these are the days where I won't remember much at all. The worst part is what little I remember will seep out of my head because I won't have time to write it down in my dream journal.
My advice to you would be to get a bit more sleep (if possible). However, if this is something permanent, I would give it a bit more time, you probably need a bit of time to adjust. Auto-suggestion works wonders.
