      Bizarre and disturbing dreams...

Alright, over the most few months I've been having some really strange things happen to me in my dreams. The most recent one, which happened a couple nights ago, lasted for about one minute and scared the living shit out of me. I was reading a book and dozed off to sleep. I had a dream that I was in the middle of the kitchen at my old house, and I was messing around with a paint ball gun (don't ask why, I've never even been paint-balling). Well, somehow the CO2 container for the gun started to leak, and for some reason I was immediately filled with fear. "Oh shit! Its leaking poison gas!" I thought. Then, all of the sudden I went completely blind (the sound of the leaking air was the only thing I could hear), and I started to become paralyzed. I remember thinking that I was dying and my fear became so intense that I woke up.

This was not the only time something strange like this happened to me. Another dream I had a couple months ago began with me sitting in front of a mirror in a room I did not recognize. I remember thinking I was ill, and I was about to take some medicine. I had a huge bottle of Pepto-Bismol with me and a spoon, so I filled up the spoon and gulped down the cherry flavored syrup. This is when the dream went haywire. After the first spoon full I filled the spoon up again and down it went. After that, I filled it up and drank it again and again and again. I have no idea why I continued to take more Pepto, I only remember I really couldn't control what I was doing. The whole time I was in some kind of a trance. After several dozen spoon fulls I suddenly snapped out of the trance and realized that I had just token the entire bottle of Pepto. I became scared that I was going to overdose, and sure enough, right after that fear hit me, I started seeing big black blotches cover my face and my skin (note that I was in front of the mirror the entire dream), and I started to enter paralysis. I tried to scream for help but it came out as a scratchy yelp. I awoke shortly after.

In another dream I was sitting in class at school, staring at the wall when all of the sudden my vision split into two different sections vertically, and as it did each half began to move into one another and I became horribly cross eyed. Then it started to feel like each side of my head was pushing onto each other. That was when I woke.

The last dream involved me walking to a video store with my dad. I spotted a few glass bottles in a ciggerette tray and thought something like "Oh man, its time to take my vitamins". I then walked over to the bottles, took one and promptly stuck it in my month and crushed it with my teeth, chewing and swallowing very slowly. I remember feeling relieved that I had eaten my daily vitamins (lol), and then I told my dad about it. Well, he started freaking out and told me to try to throw up to get it out of me. I remember thinking "Oh fuck, what have I done", and then I woke up.

All of these dreams were very disturbing, and some bothered me days after they happened. I don't know what they mean, but I've considered that they are reflections of the regret I feel towards my past drug abuse (I quit using 7 months ago), and possibly guilt that I felt about still occasionally using drugs (I would have some smoke every weekend). Has anyone had any dreams like this? Can anyone give me some feedback as to what the meaning of these dreams could have been? And, if someone has a theory to the cause of the dream, then how could I prevent more from happening?

I think that you've interpreted the dreams already wer! to prevent them from happening again I suppose you will need to get rid of the guilt you feel (which presumably means avoiding the smoke?). also, some prescription meds are known to cause nightmares if you are on any - along with eating spicy and fatty foods before going to sleep (I think).

hopefully, you can begin to turn lucid and turn the nightmares around - which is generally what I do on the rare occasion. good luck.

The problem with going lucid in these dreams is that they usually last only a few minutes, so I don't really have time to realize that I'm dreaming.

I eat a lot of spicy foods .
