      Describe your Nightmares

      Describe your Nightmares.

I know I sometimes encounter dreams where my eyes are half open and flickering, and I feel very lethargic and helpless, and then I have to do something.

      An example:

I am fully clad in a suit of armor. I can only see through the slit in my helm, and even then my eyes are blurred. Someone is trying to kill me, and my only weapon is my longsword. It is extremely heavy, and I can barely swing it. I usually end up bumping in to the other person in frustration, as my suit of armor weighs me down, and it feels like I am trying to run/punch underwater.

      It's pretty much miserable.

      As for scary nightmares:

Usually scary movies that I have watched earlier, all collaged together by some weird plot. I can't think of a personal nightmare right now though, maybe I'll edit one in later.

A Lucid Dream I had a while ago develped from a Nightmare, I'll try and describe it. After a short little dream about a Simpsons scene, the old vision of the dream turned into a cinema screen that I was looking at. And then I kept feeling shock while I was looking at it. It was a picture of Krusty the Clown near a leaf.

I started hearing a buzzing sound while feeling this endless shock and scare feeling. I somehow know something bad will happen. Despite the fact I didn't know, I closed my eyes and summoned excitement, so much that I woke up.

I NEVER have nightmares.... it sucks... I haven't been scared by a movie or even my own mind since I was a kid. I have dreams that should be scary and I will decribe them in my dream journal as being scary but for what ever reason I was not scared at the time, though I understand that I should be scared.

I guess though your mind would propably avoid your parliziing fears... so I never see blood in my dreams nor am I ever in a larger crowd of people. All my other fears are mild.

after saying this... I will likly have a horrible nightmare tonight! so i'll get back to you after it happens!

The problem is that... I think it would be fun to be scared... I don't want to watch some one get slaghtered. I am the world biggest Hemophobic but something scary would be fun once in a while, you know to keep you on your toes... I was in a potentially life threading situation a while back... I was swimming in the middle of lake and a thunder storm came in... The two girl I was with one could bearly swim they were both panicing and freaking out. I was fine I stayed calm and sent the stronger ahead. Stayed back with the weaker swimmer... As soon as she(she=the weaker swimmer) got her last toe out of the water lighting struck the lake... thats how close it really was, but somehow I was just fine the situation I understood was serious but didn't freak me out ... I don't get it I am a girl I should be afraid of everything!

In my opinion, it's only fun to be scared when the thing that's scaring you is actually cool, like Satan in Dr. Who (10th Doctor). It's not really that scary but you get the idea.

I get that a lot in my nightmares. I hate not being able to see properly in my dreams. When I was young my vision was always blured.. I remember always trying to fix it. When you get into fights and it just doesn't go your way and you cant throw a punch or even run away. Everything is slow motion. Its horrible

My nightmares now are normally some dark cloaked man chasing me all the time.. sometimes I realize I am dreaming and use my flying skills to get away.. and sometimes when not lucid he just chases me everywhere.. or through a house and out the back door and round the front and back through the house .. :/

I remember he got me once and stabed me really slowly in my neck.. he then continued to stab me all over. Dream pain is unpleasant. I killed all my family and I managed to get out of the house to get help.. I went next door and couldnt speak because my voice box had be destroyed. I had to write down what was wrong.

The ambulance came and put cat bowls on the floor full of water. He said it was for dehydration. My family just got stabbed.. and this dude is thinking of dehydration lol

nightmares normally involve getting shot, stabbed or falling.

That sucks. Mine are just weird collages from the last film I watched. K-19 the Widowmaker would be gas-masked people with radiation burns thrown in, while War of the Worlds would be aliens harvesting my blood/tissues.

      That sounds grim!

War of the Worlds scares me .. the sound of them

I had one once where some dude broke in through my bedroom window and came to me in my living room.. walked over to me grabed my hair and pulled my neck back and stabbed me in my neck. Stabbing to the neck sucks
      Simple and quick.

Most of my dreams are good/neutral... the bad ones generally fall under two categories:

-chase dreams: being chased by unknown bad guys... usually in dark deserted cities and down alleyways (ugh!). Luckily, I have a method of escape- by shouting into the night (at myself) to wake up!

-and the worst and most common of all (and sometimes in combination with being chased): dreams where I seem to have lost all the strength in my legs and the whole time am struggling desperately to (fail to) stand up and walk. My least favorite involved me being on a never-ending escalator, in which I was both immobilized by an extreme fear of heights and by my extreme weakness.
