I think the best music for going to sleep is ambient atmospheric music, and, the two masters of the genre are:
Max Corbacho: Try "Ars Lucis", "BreathStream" and anything from him.
Steve Roach: also anything from him.
The two number one of sleep music

I listen to any music I want. Prefferably techno and trance :D

I quite like a bit of 70s music. I had a dream I was in a band the other week and found a good interpretation here about bands this helped understand it. In terms as what clearview said, I find it hard to relax to techno :-) but I suppose it depends on the rhythm
Techno relaxes me very much, which is quite the contrary to what you said. It does depend on the rhythm, :D

Rise Against, Three Days Grace, Story of the Year, Switchfoot, Alkaline Trio, The Spill Canvas... Mostly rock and alternative music for me.
When I listen to classical piano music, I fall asleep instantly.
Stranger in Moscow by Michael Jackson
For me its Solfeggio beats and Binaural beats. Stuff just lets me fall into a trance. Good for visualizing as well.
There's a lot of songs I listen to when my computer isn't being a piece of junk. The thing is is that I can't understand the lyrics if they have any, or I'll start to focus on them a bit too much.
