Mostly instrumental music including the Titanic, Gladiator, and Lion King on Broadway soundtracks (certain songs); music from Diddy Kong's Quest, and Halo 1,2,3,; the song Ride the Dragon from the movie Shrek, Halcyon On and On by Orbital, and some stuff by Enya and Enigma... those are almost always guaranteed to cause me to pass out. Especially the Gladiator songs and Halcyon On and On. If you want specific songs, I can list them

Oddly enough, I often fall asleep listening to Rush. I'll put on a long song such as Hemispheres (18 mins), or arrange a playlist of appropriate songs. I find that focusing on the bass lines in the songs helps me fall asleep.

      lol.

I'd like to know your guys' tastes in music altogether.

If anyone wants to get into good sleep music (not cheesy soundtracks =P or soft mainstream pop/rock). Check out musicians like Brian Eno, Robert Rich, Harold Budd, or Steve Roach to name a few main ones. There are others but those are the big daddies as far as I'm concerned.

If you guys are unfamiliar with the type of music they make it's called Ambient, and it is soundscapes and drones and soft calming melodies that put you in a nice state of mind and are perfect for giving great images when you are falling asleep.

God Is An Astronaut is my favorite to fall asleep to. It's very ambient and it just makes me want to dream even when I am awake :]

Very very good stuff. I have all of their albums and I'm willing to share if anyone would like to expience that kind of feeling. :]

I usually listen to modest mouse songs or some green day. My favorite is the Legend Of Zelda (Ocarina Of Time) - Forest Temple that song is the best.

Modest Mouse = win, though I can't say they've ever helped me fall asleep.

There are definitely a ton of game soundtracks I can fall asleep to, though it's been quite a while since I've listened to music in general when trying to sleep.

i have a cd called Beethoven At Bedtime...i think it was originally released for children...it starts out with a few tracks that are a little too loud to sleep to and then wends its way down to Fur Elise and Moonlight sonata...i'm usually asleep by track 5 or 6 and only once have i made it all the way thru to Moonlight...

Classical Music does it for me.

I usually just make a playlist of around 100 songs, put it on shuffle, and fall asleep.

Alrighty here we go haha. I have included a large .png with the multiple playlists that I use. A lot of them use the same songs, because once your body is trained to fall asleep to certain music and certain songs in certain orders, you just have to turn it on and will pass out in minutes. As proof I've included the playlist "Flames Flight" which has music by the band In Flames. In Flames is considered death metal, but I had to listen to it in college so that my roommate's sleep apnea and snoring didn't wake me up. Now when those songs come on I get completely relaxed and ready for bed haha

So, enjoy! If you need any of the songs, let me know and I can email them to you. Especially "Crystal Castle", I don't even know the real name of that song or who sings it
