A weird thing that happened last night...

      Hey,

So, last night I was listening to some music on my iPod in my bed. The next thing I know my reading light is on, my sheets are all screwed up, and I look at the clock and it's five in the morning. (When I was listening to music it was probably 11:00 at night).

I went back to sleep fifteen minutes after waking up, but I don't feel like I actually got any sleep from 11:00 to 5:00, I feel like I do after going to a late night party. Really, really, tired.

      Any explanations?

      Thanks

Is it possible that you had a FA and you are just unaware of that? You may thought you awoke and looked at your clock and surroundings but in actuality you were still asleep. I have "lost sleep" like this many times. It's also possible that you were in a very deep sleep prior to this incident. For some reason, sometimes sleeping very deeply can cause you to feel as if you haven't had much sleep at all when you awaken the next day. I'm sorry I can't give a "scientific" or "medical" reason for this, but that could be what happened. I hope this could be of some help.

I forgot to mention that I did a reality check, multiple reality checks. I pinched myself, I looked at the clock, and it synched with my the time on my ipod. I tried to breath with through my nose with my nose closed. I think I just slept deeply like you said and had a random awakening.

You've been a great help, thanks

This happened to me when I was a young kid

I remembered going into bed and all of a sudden I woke up and it was morning and I had to go to school. I didn't even feel as if I had slept. I felt robbed of a night of sleep . LOL

Yeah that happens to me too some time. I think "I'm really tired... and I don't want to go to school tomorrow... well at least I have all night to rest.... Fuck."
I wake up even though I feel like I didn't even fall asleep.
