My First False Awakening

So I was dreaming, and then I finally became a bit lucid, but then I felt my eyes open I said, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" so usually every time I wake up from any time of sleep, I do a hand reality check. I looked at my hands and there was a massive chunk of my palm missing. I thought, "Wow that's really weird." Still didn't become lucid. Then I tried to breathe through my nose when it was closed. I could breathe. "Weird." Finger through palm. Didn't work...? I have no idea why it didn't work. Anyways, I finally realized this was a false awakening and I was still dreaming. So I wanted to fly out of my window. But by then I was really awake. When I woke up the second time I thought I was still in a dream, so I did a reality check, about 5 of them, and they all failed. That was a really weird feeling with the chunk out of my hand. When I moved my hand I could feel the air moving through the hole in my hand. Very very strange. Anyone else have very weird false awakenings?

Man, I hate false awakenings. They get me roused up in fear, and it's hard to get a good LD out of them. It's kinda like having to clean up a mess. Just had a FA last night, too. I suddenly realized I was dreaming as I got out of bed, and all I could see in the hallway and living room was pitch black. Scared the crap out of me and woke myself up, cause all of my FAs always follow up with nightmares.

heh, I just had my first FA too. Stayed non-lucid, though. In the dream I was fighting someone, and he kocked me down and tried to starngle me, then next thing I knew I was in my bed. Latre in the dream my house started filling up with there tiny gnat-like bugs and I had to get bug spray to kill them but I couldn't find it. Wierd.
