      Unable to talk in dreams?

What does it mean when you try to scream/shout/talk in dreams, but it ends up like a gasp? The last lucid dream I had was like that. I remember trying to say "Is this a dream?" But it came out like a soundless gasp.

That happens to me often. I believe it is like the no force behind a punch or inability run.

That stems from legs and arms being paralyzed in REM sleep. (I believe)
      Bollocks.

The parts of your brain that are responsible for speach are "diabled", so to speak, whey you dream. This could have something to do with it, but there are certain things that show up in our dreams that are signs of stress/anxiety. These can include the inability to talk/scream/shout, being in a public place without clothes, the inability to run/move,and others such as teeth falling out. However, these can also be made positive, because we can use these things as dreamsigns, and become lucid from them. If the inability/awkward state persists while we are lucid, it is simply from our lack of belief, that we can control our dreams. In that case, check out a dream control tutorial, and practice will-building excercises.
      ...And then to dream...
