So, only until last month I found out what the term lucid dreaming is. When explaining to a co-worker I can tell when I'm dreaming, replay, breath under water, fly, even 'step out' of a bad dream and watch it in third person he informed me I was a lucid dreamer. Up until now I would just call them 'very strange' dreams. I usually visit other communities where I meet people, some are nice and some aren't. Sometimes the dreams go bad and I just back out and start a new one. Mind you, this has been going on for 40+ years and I can remember the first time as a child when I was having a re-occuring nightmare that one night I said, "Ive seen this before" and realized I was dreaming, while dreaming. I didnt realize there is a whole community of people dealing with this. At first I tried to stop it but once I figured out that its just going to keep happening I figured just go with it. One thing, when I 'step out' and look at my self in my dream I can only see too the left, right, up and down, I can never see in a 360 direction, kind of like watching a moving in the theater. Any ideas?

I think your viewpoint will expand as you gain experience. I'm a natural dreamer myself, but there's no question that lucidity is a process and not a destination. Just keep working on it.
