Hospital ICU

Ok, I don't usually have any problems interpreting dreams, but this one has me thrown.

First, I am driving around with 3 other people, One of which is a girl i have a strong dislike for. We are all friendly. And she turns to me and asks me if i know of any one she could buy marijuana.
So i call my best friends parents.But only my best friend is home, and she asks me where she could find it in their house.
I offer to go over there and help her look for it.
When i get there, her parents appear to be living in an 11 story apt building that i have never been to before.
I hope in the elevator to go to the 10th floor, and when i reach the floor and step out, its no longer an apt building. Its a hallway with a few doors, and those curtains hospitals use to separate patients.
I continue to look around, hoping to find someone who could help me get off this floor, but all i see are people laying on hospital beds. Some are wrapped up from head to toe, some only have a few bandages, but their wounds are pretty much the same.. I am in the ICU , On the Burn unit.
As i keep walking, I put my hand up the side of my head to shield my eyes.

Finally, as someone starts walking up to me, almost immediately after they tell me i shouldn't be there, I wake up.

Please help me! I really don't understand this dream, and i don't know where to begin researching it!

Hmm, this is interesting. Let me start by saying that dream interpretation is a very individual thing, the same thing could hold different meanings for 2 different people, with varying schemas. That said, although ultimately you must be the one to realize what a dream means, there is nothing wrong with others providing suggestions or insights, as they may bring up something that you didn't think of before, leading you to better understand the dream.

Now, one thing strikes me immediately. You went into this appartment for marijuana, if you don't mind answering do you smoke (it)?

Ok, well that rules out concerns over your own health (that's where I was going with this), if you did I wouldn't be surprised if you were perhaps subconciously worried or paranoid that it might be damaging your lungs or something of that sort, or creating any number of other problems. Perhaps it is concern for another?

Initially I thought it was because i work with the elderly, and was thinking of switching to a hospital setting for my job..but then i thought, Why would i cover my sight?
And even though i worry about my friends and their smoking habits, i generally try not to dictate or let them bother me

Consider what are your feelings about marijuana. I mean...do you consider it as a deadly addiction, just a bad habit or whatever. Keep that in mind.

My interpretation would be like this:

There is a part of your personality that you dislike (the girl) who needs marijuana. Here, the marijuana means whatever your feelings about it are. You want to get it, but when you get there you see it is not easy (hence the 11 story apt. When you are close to getting it, you see things aren't so pretty and sunny either. (Considering all the people in your dream as parts of your personality) you know you have suffered a lot in the past to get this. And your subconscious is telling you to turn away (remember somebody told you you are not supposed to be here)

It may not be correct, but I gave it a try.

Also consider what were your feelings in the hospital. Was it fear, apprehension, indifference?
