Try the one where you close your nose and try to breath through it. It has never failed for me unlike many other reality checks. |

Fot the past 2 nights now I have been on the verge of becoming lucid in my dream and done reality checks, (not consciously) in the dream and they have passed with ease! I do them every day out of habit now so when they pass in the dream it is of no wonder! The one that never fails for me is the digital clock where all the digits change but there is not always a clock to hand in my dream. However 2 nights ago I tried pushing my fingers through a window and it bounced off as you'd expect in real life (where as I love walking though windows and walls in dreams) and last night I tried to fly and fell flat on the floor. Not floated down, nothing. Just as you would do in real life and fell flat on the floor with pain and all! I woke up shortly after when my alarm went off and wasnt happy that I didnt realise!! 8) |

Lucid at least once a week, mainly on weekends.

I don't think it works like that. Your assuming you breath at the same rate inside the dream as your body is outside the dream. I think they are separate though. I kind of doubt you can effect your breathing while inside a dream. If it did talking or running around would wake you up because it changes your breathing. |

RCs dont always work that well for everybody. Regular RCs dont work at all for me. The best kind of "RC" is simple general awareness. Your environment can easily tell you if you are dreaming. Doing an "RC" could be to ask you who you are, what you are doing right now and why exactly, where you are..what dayit is..does that make sense, is your environment making sense with what you have been doing in the near past? Stuff like that. That might seem like a lot but you can put it as 'general awareness' which is more of a feeling then literally going about asking all those questions. |
