      Waking Up When Becoming Lucid?

For the past week I have had about 5 lucid dreams. That is the most that I had ever had. The problem was that every time I would become lucid everything in my dream slowly fades away and turns white and then I wake up. Why is this happening? I have read that getting overly excited can cause some people to wake up but I have been trying not to get excited and I still wake up.

My First Lucid From This Week: I am down at my grandma's house, and my dad is there which is illogical because my dad has recently died and I started to realized that I was dreaming. Then everything slowly faded away and turned into a white haze and for some reason I knew I was waking up.

Any help with this? It is pretty frustrating.

^^ yup. Once you're lucid try grabbing things or staring at your hands.
      Lucid dreams, gotta love em.

Or just remember to tell yourself in the dream, that you are dreaming and that you will have a nice long dream. Doing the other methods as well of course (like rubbing hands together).
