Ive noticed over the last few years that when I attempt to fall asleep on my back, I experience what I think may be sleep paralysis. Im curious if anyone else can verify these symptoms through experience.

* Going from laying there with your eyes closed, to a deep falling pit within seconds while being totally conscious of the experience.
* Sounds, varying tones from low tones, to high pitches, all over-lapped on each other.
* Almost a sense of fear, ( like you’re being watched ) doesn’t help that I cant move.
* There are moments when I feel as if Im about to wake, then slip back into the darkness.

Its hard to put into words, I apologize. Now don’t get me wrong this doesn’t happen " every " time I attempt to sleep while on my back, but Id have to say a solid 25% of the time. I really dont enjoy it, although some nights Ill muster up the guts to give it a shot. I try to analyze it the best I can, see what I can get out of it. But there's emotions involved that are hard to put to the side. For one the lack of control. Im a control freak, so taking that away from me isnt helping. Then not fully understanding whats going on. Over the past few years Id say Ive gone through events such as the above, 20 - 30 times. Each lasting anywhere from 2min - 15min.

I hope you dont think Im crazy. Id appreciate any others experiences similar to this to be shared.
