      Sleeping Pills/Music?

Hey there! I have two questions. Here they are...

1.) Sleeping pills. Well, lately I've been trying to sleep but I've been too excited to even get to the N1 stage. Then, when I finally get there, I think about something then I instantly snap out of it. I was wondering if I should buy some sleeping pills. They look like they would be very helpful but I'm not sure what they would do to my dreams. Will they help with my lucidity or not?

2.) Music. My second question is about playing music as I sleep. It relaxes me and helps me drift off to sleep. However, I'm not sure if it's good or bad for my lucidity. For example, sometimes a song would wake me up at night. Other times, people in my dreams would all be singing along to a song that's playing from my iPod in the real world.

Should I buy some sleeping pills and should I continue to play my music?

If anything, if you're having that much trouble falling asleep, I'd tell you to buy some Melatonin. Just being over-exited isn't enough of a reason to buy full-fledged sleeping pills.

If music helps, I say keep playing it. As to whether it helps or hinders your lucid dream, I can't say. I think that's something you'd have to experiment with.

Well, I take sleeping pills and I don't think they do anything for my lucidity one way or another. It seems like they would help me to stay focused on my little thought mantra I occasionally do "I am dreaming" since I fall asleep faster than normal, but it hasn't worked out when i've tried it. It makes me so tired that I just stop caring about repeating it lol.

i was going to make a thread that was very similar to this last night but didnt. so last night i took a sleep aid pill but woke up around 3 with no RC which sucked, but once i fell asleep again i had a pretty clear dream. i can remember just about everything that happened which is awesome. not a whole lot of control tho. so that was my first experiment with sleeping pills
