a new theory of universal creation "cosmic recycling&qu

I'm a Christian btw but that’s beside the point for this little idea I've had.

K you know how in a black hole the very center is infinitely dense and infinitely small. Scientists usually describe the center as a singularity also.

Well... the big bang theory says that the universe started as an infinitely small and hot point and that it has been expanding and cooling ever since. This "point" is called the singularity.

When I combined these two ideas an interesting though occurred to me. What if all the black holes grew in mass enough to envelope the entirety of matter and energy in the universe and condensed them into this "singularity”? Perhaps once everything is condensed within this black void a new universe will begin in a separate dimension or place in space-time. And then since there are more than just one black hole is it possible that there would be as many new universes as there are black holes in our universe? Or is it that each black hole will eventually "combine" or "fuse" with the rest and recreate our universe in a new plane/dimension/area in space-time?

I call this cosmic recycling because it implies that the cosmos will be sucked into a new singularity and then possibly "restart" (I find it hard to believe that all of existence is bound to eventually end up as an infinitely small purposeless and meaningless point in the center of a massive void)

What are your comments/thoughts about this idea? I haven’t taken it much deeper than that.

Btw this is my first "actual" post. I intend to make one huge post with a lot of my philosophy and beliefs along with logical reasoning for why I am and who I am in a week or so. Sort of an introduction in one fell swoop so that I don’t have to take so much time in getting into my rut here. Thanks later

      Emmett

what would make a black hole grow? -- do you know why we believe in the big bang theory? scientist have "proven" that we are no longer expanding as a universe. they now believe that we are contracting back to our point of origin.

Last I heard they'd done the opposite and have found that the universe is exponentialy expanding because of dark matter or anti matter or some such thing. When you have more normal matter, everything is attracted to each other and would tend to 'pull' or 'collapse' together. But as you create more space through expansion you create more dark or anti or whateverthehell matter. Now this matter does the opposite, it makes everything repel. Because the universe has been expanding for so long it's reached an 'event horizon' of it's own where there's so much anti matter that instead of being able to pull back together, it's pushing out wards which in turn makes 'more' space which makes 'more' anti matter which makes the system of everything repelling even greater and so on exponentially. I think Einstien originally postulated on it but gave it up as a bad idea but something recently seen by telescope seems to confim it. This is all based on something I glanced over ages ago though so I could be completly wrong.

according to hubble's discovery that several galaxies were moving away from us, he concluded that the universe is expanding & the further away you got, the faster it is expanding. but could this also be explained as we are contracting and the further away you got the slower it contracts, so that we are moving away from other galaxies, but not expanding? like someone looking out the window of a moving car, without prior experience, would feel they are stationary while the land moves by. if you dismissed this in another question by saying that like a balloon contracting we would see the other galaxies moving toward us, but not if we were contracting faster than everything around us. this would mean that as we contract, everything outside us, while still contracting just slower, would still be moving away from us.

to let you guys know about the balloon theory here it is... sort of.

scientists say that if you put a lot of dots on a balloon and blow it up you will see the dots move further apart. now we can look at our neighboring galaxies and judge their distances, this theory works. only if its assumed that all galaxies are traveling at the same speed. -- it's been a year or two since i've heard the theory and I forgot a lot about it, but i know i agreed with it when i heard it.

i agree with the rubber band theory. It relates to the recycling thing. We all start in one infinately dense and small point. The big bang happens and we expand for a long time. Scientist believe we are expanding because the expansion could take up more then the earth's life. Anyway, when we stop expanding we are pulled back to one point, basically a super blackhole that all the galaxies are around. We contract for another long time until we are back to that small point and it starts over again.

i think everything would get recycled before it got contracted enitirely but i dunno im no cosmologist. and i dont think the universe is contracting cause we just finnished our cosmology unit in science but im no cosmologist so i cant say for sure
