How old were you when you began trying to lucid dream? How long has it been now since you have learned, or been trying to learn?

Wow this is your first post and you joined in Feb? Cool beans.... and Welcome to Dream Views! I think I have been lucid dreaming on and off forever. I have a reoccurring dream that freaks me the fuck out and I know I'm dreaming but I am so scared that I wake myself up every time. I don't know when it actually started but it was sometime in my teens. My first lucid dream (where i actually knew what it was) was when I was 25... just after I joined the site! So there ya go

I have been trying to lucid dream ever since I joined this forum, and it was about a month or two after that when I began to have my first lucids, which were WILDS, I didn't have my first DILD until just a couple months ago...For most people its the other way around, but I think I just found that I'm kind of a natural at doing WILD's, Wake Induced Lucid Dreams.

Cool! As for me, I did it every night ever since I was 3, & I did not know what it was called until last December!

Weird same with me, I just figured it out like 2 weeks ago. I thought it was normal to live in your dreams. Right now I'm working on control, but I've always been able to live in it. Like I've never woken up and remember one. I always just know I'm in it and I think it's real life.

Had random LDs (like 1 or 2 a year) before know what lucid dream was.

Started to study LD in january, 2005. Had 16 lucids since them. I'm 34 years old.

I had my first LD when I was 9 or 10, but didn't start "trying" to do it until I found DV in November of last year. I was almost 44 at that time.

I used to have lucid dreams for as far back as I can remember. I first started out with finding out that I could exit my nightmares whenever they got too bad, when I was like 7ish. Since then I started learning that I could change different things about the dream. Everytime I would tell a friend about the things I could do, no one seemed to be able to understand. So I just thought it was some cool, different thing. I didn't find out there was a study behind it until I was about 21, and I've been off and on the subject ever since then. But I've just recently gotten really serious about it, and anxious to see the skills I can gain.
