      Help, Por Favore?

So I have LD'ed once in my life, before I even knew what a LD was. That was several years ago. Since then, I have found the LD community and tried on and off to lucid dream, but it's not really working. RCs don't help very much- no matter how much I do them in real life, they never carry over into dreams- and I wake up at 5:30 every morning so more effective methods like WILDs are kinda unrealistic. In addition, it seems that the more I become interested in dreaming and trying to remember dreams, the less I actually can. So, I'm just kinda having issues in general If any kind soul can give me advice on any of the above issues, I would be much obliged.

I often hear users on this forum say that they used to try RC methods that were advised, and failed for weeks or months, until they finally found a method that worked for them. Maybe you just haven't found the method that would work well for you yet. For instance, have you tried, as part of your RC or after writing down a dream, imagining yourself becoming lucid in the dream you just woke up from? Or trying to get the information to your subconscious.

I'm currently having difficulty as well. I joined this forum over 20 days ago, and honestly expected to be getting regular LDs now. But years ago, I successfully had LDs, so I know that it's possible for me to do it. Maybe I've just been missing something I wasn't before. I keep trying slightly new RC methods and am optimistic that one will work soon. For me, I think I really have to convince my subconscious to have a MILD. I think that's how I did it last time. Lucid dreaming just has to be part of your intention, so strongly in waking life, that you happen to remember it vaguely while dreaming. I think, for me, visualizing the moment I become lucid, imagining what it will be like, looking back to the lucid dream I had in the past and imagining it happening again, is what will work. I've heard others on this forum say that quality is more imoprtant than quantity when it comes to RCs. I think both are factors.

Good luck. I hope you decide to keep trying.

I haven't tried imagining myself lucid in a dream I just had, but that sounds like a good idea. I shall try! Thanks for the advice.
