      Bee nightmares

Im am a hiveaphobic. In other word Im afraid of Bees.I had this dream where I was surrounded by bees the size of rats .No other DC seemed to notice them.I tryed dogeing them (was very freaked out) .Another time I dreamed that my house had become invested with bees. a DC version of my dad was trying to find a can of bug killer.I ran into the house to get my mom out of it. I ended up traped with her and then I woke up.

The same thing happens to me with spiders. It's like the more attention I pay to them, the worse the situation gets, unsuprisingly. Once I was blowing sand into the air, looking for spider webs that became visible once the sand got stuck in them. I began finding spiders in them. A dream character told me that this was just making things worse, but I wanted to make sure that I didn't run into any invisible spiders. More and more spiders apeared and eventually I saw a huge spider apear on the wall that was about a foot in diameter. I became slightly prelucid and thought I could make a gun apear and shoot the spider with it, but the DC said it wouldn't work and I woke up. If I were lucid and this problem occured, I would probably just find something to do and disregard the spiders as not being part of my mission. This worked for me once when there was a madman that busted trough a door with a gun; I just walked right by him and he didn't think to shoot me.

By the way, these are the only two dreams I can think of that involved guns...

I'm also severely bee-phobic and I've had similar nightmares. I've since gotten over my fear of the fat, fluffy honeybees (I actually touched one in a dream—I can almost let one land on me in the waking world without freaking out).

However, I still go fetal at the sight of the shiny wasp-like ones. I’m convinced that they are evil.

I used to be afraid of bees, until I actually got stung and realized it didn't hurt as much as I though it would.
But snakes and spiders are a different story. It's just something about venom.... ugghhhh... I can't stand them.

Apiphobia is the proper term for "bee-phobia", and I have it too. I was traumatized by my first sting by a huge wasp on the palm of my right hand. If I see a bee, I bolt in the opposite direction. If I can't move anywhere, I just scream bloody murder.

      Hooray for bolt-ers!
I've never actually been stung, but my dad's allurgic and the last time he was stung he passed out and had to be sent to the hospital.
      I'm not taking any chances.
