Was I Lucid or just thinking about being in a dream?

After keeping a dream journal this past month and having some weird and wonderful vivid dreams, with little success of becoming Lucid, I think last night there was a slight break through (the one in my LD Count came years ago – in case you’re wondering).
But here’s the thing I can’t quite work out if I was lucid or just hoping I was lucid and my thoughts were part of my dream.
Without going into specific details, I’d arrived at a dark country lane, surrounded by trees. I knew I’d been here before. I was thinking where I’d recognised this setting from, when it hit me, it was from a dream i previously had. That’s when I realised, hang on, this is a dream right now!
The frustrating outcome was the realisation of being in a dream had awoken me. Now I guess technically you could say that small moment was Lucid Dreaming, but after I awoke, I lay there for a while trying to fall back into the dream. Is this WILD or DEILD? I was thinking about the country path, and the grassy hillside i was about to climb up. Now i think, i think, i then slipped off to sleep whilst thinking this and the thoughts manifested into a lucid dream. Everything was more vivid. All the time i was thinking if this is a dream what can i do. I thought it best to do the basic generic thing that everyone likes to do when they first become lucid and that was fly. It worked, i flew about over the hill a few times, i could almost feel my arms pushing back the air, almost swimming like actions, but at the same time was slightly aware that this could just be me thinking all this and not dreaming. Either way i woke up not soon after.
I can’t recall now but i’m sure it was later in the morning when i awoke the 2nd time, so maybe i was dreaming.
Anyway, any thoughts or input from my fellow dreamers would be very kindly appreciated. Was it a dream, was it a half thought / half dream, can i put the big number 2 on my LD count (or maybe even a 3 if you count both dreams)?

Sounds like an LD since you were actually controlling things and you knew you were dreaming.

Sounds like a real lucid dream because of the fact that you had woken up, then went back into the dream with full control.
