I was attempting a WILD/WBTB.
I usually just try to fall asleep while staying awake, but that hasn't been working so I got myself really tired and went to sleep, and set the alarm for 5 hours and 30 minutes later.
I wake up, shut off the alarm, and think "I think I'll try to just stay up as long as possible." So I'm lying in bed completely still just thinking "I will stay awake and not fall asleep." Now, sometime into this I realized I wasn't controlling my own breathing anymore. And the breathes that I was taking were... strange.
It was like I was breathing in helium instead of oxygen. I shrugged it off thinking "hey... probably the first stage of SP or something." Now, I'm still telling myself to stay awake as much as possible. But the next thing you know I open my eyes, and instead of RIGHT SIDE-UP I was lying on my left side and staring at a clock that read 6:42 and not 5:30.
How is it possible that I was lying on my back but opened my eyes to myself lying on my left hand side? Was I LD'ing about sleep??
Sorry, I have no idea what happened. Maybe one of the more experienced LD'ers can explain. Thank you in advance.
P.S all this happened in a time frame to me of what seemed 10 minutes.
