30 days DILD and MILD experiment.

I know that threads like this exist all over the DV, but I hope you won't mind another one. ;D

Everything is set up, let's start.

In my very short way (about 1 month) to become regular LDer I've experienced few WILDs. They were awesome. And the feeling you get when entering a dream is unexplainable. Although it's amazing I want to DILD or MILD more. I like the idea of realising that you are dreaming while you ARE dreaming. I want to feel that and I will, but as everyone knows motivation is very important and I need to get it maxed. That's the reason I am creating this thread in the first place. Now, let's get to the part where I will explain what I am going to do.

Starting today I will regularly do this:

1. First and most important, I will write my dreams down in my Dream Journal and then I will draw a map. (I've been doing this for a month already and I have very good recall now)

2. I just got a book (in my language) about Lucid Dreaming and there were a lot of techniques for DILD. It's mostly about being aware of your surroundings all the time and translated from my language it would be "Stalking" (believe me, no use googling).I just noticed new thread by KingYoshi and I believe that techniques I am talking about are called ADA in english. It's such a coincidence that he posted this one day after I had read a book. :eek: So, back to the subject. I will be doing these ADA techniques described in my book. There are exercises for 10 weeks and after that time you should be aware like a ninja. I will translate and post them if they will show any results and believe me, they will.

3. During my daily ADA training I will do 'FULLY AWARE Reality Checks" and mantras. I will smell, listen to my surroundings and explore everything around me before performing them. I won't count on Dream Signs, because I don't really have any. :roll: I have over 100 dreams and no DS, strange, huh? Well, I dream a lot of my female friends (lol), but it's not like when I am close to my friend I will perform RC immediately. (Freaky)

4. Now, before going to sleep I will tell myself that I will notice myself awake after every dream and that I will write it down. (It works for me about 80%, when I try to do it)

5. After my like 2nd or 3rd awaking at night (when it's about 4 - 6 hours after going to sleep) I will wake up and go to take a pee. After that I will lie down in my bed relaxing telling myself that I will realise I am dreaming, I will perform reality check, I will be aware of my surroundings. Than I will visualise what would have happened if I realised I am dreaming in the dream I had before waking up (if I remember it. If not, I will take other dream scene). Than some more mantras to fall asleep when thinking about Lucid Dreaming.

6. Update this thread daily. And since last week I had few unbelievable non-lucid dreams I will start DJ when I will have next one.

So, main goales after 30 days:

* Becoming A LOT MORE aware of my surroundings during the day. I won't become a pro, but I won't be a beginner.

* Have at least 1 - 3 Lucid Dreams per week. Even more if possible. It doesn't matter which technique will provide results.

* Have my dream recall mastered.

* Have a lot of people interested in my thread.

OK, I like this thread. I am at the same level as you, 1 month approx., no dream signs, so I will silently be following along and taking inspiration :)

Well, I just commited myself to recall dreams after each and every wake-up... I MILD almost exclusively and being on a long trip also helped by lowering my stress. I meditate daily, and do awareness and reality checks.

Yes, I think lucid dreaming is more about awareness than techniques. Not that techniques are not important, but awareness is the base layer for your techniques to stick upon and become effective. It would be like knowing how to draw a painting having no hands. I'm also trying to expand it either with meditation and during the day just by being and thinking less. I've always been thinking way too much, just now that I try to be present I realise how many times I find myself daydreaming and even my whole life has been dreamlike in a way.

Alright. Late update, because I decided to start on mounday for easy day counting. ;D

DAY 1!

Day: I completed first week of my awareness program. I am now always aware when I am typing something to someone. Especially on my mobile phone. It's very easy to remember to check your reality. Let's go to week 2!!!

Evening: I decided that evenings should have a lot of focusing on lucid dreaming. So, that's what I did. Read a lot about LD, OBE, etc. And I tried to fall asleep while thinking only about my mantras.

Night: I woke up 3 times. I recall 3 dreams perfectly. All of the mentioned 3 times I woke up I applied MILD techniques, but no LD for me. -.-

Alright. Let's look forward to Day 2!

Day 2!

Day: same as always.

Night. I recall 3 dreams (like always). Non of them were Lucid. O noticed my mistake. I don't fall asleep thinking about gaining lucidity. My mind wonders away.

Day 3!

Day: My awareness is getting better. I notice many things that I haven't noticed before. Minus of it is that daydreaming is hard now.

Night: OMG! I had one of the strangest dreams ever. I dreamt about going to sleep and trying to achiee lucidity. I fell asleep in a dream and I had regular dream. It was dream within a dream. I woke up 2 times. One, in my dream, and the other one (after almost getting Lucid) in real life.

And I find it hard to fall asleep when focusing my mind of something. I experienced huge sleep lose.

QUESTION!

Can I think a lot about LDing (mantras, visualization) when woke up at night, but after some time let my mind wonder and fall asleep normaly?

It doesn't have to be that your last thought is about LD, just stick that intention firmly into your mind, with mantras and visualization. Hopefully after that you 'll have an LD.

Before I go to sleep I write in my day journal, then meditate for 5 mins. This helps me to relax. Then, I think about my mantra (and visualise): "I will wake up after every dream and remember it" and fall asleep. After my first wake-up (4-5 hours after) and during the next ones I write down my dreams and think about my other mantra: "The next time I'm dreaming, I will realise I'm dreaming". It doesn't always work of course, but I still wake up regularly and write down my dreams. This is a typical MILD method.

Day 4!

Day: I am getting more and more aware. I am now always aware when I wite text messages, eat or drink something and I am always aware in what kind of position I am sitting/standing.

Night: I got a new phone and it's clock is set 1 hour earlier than it should be. And I was lazy to fix it and guess what. I set my alarm clock at 5 o'clock, but It accualy was 6 o'clock. I woke up, listened for some binaural beats, fell asleep for few minutes and than I was woken up... School... Believe how shocked i was. ;D I recalled 3 dreams.

Some notes about what I've experienced these days.

* I know that everyone uses different, idividual techniques to get Lucid Dreams. I think that I am very close to my own method of getting regular LD's. I just feel it.

The night I had my first LD I did some meditation before going to sleep, but I think you can choose any moment of the day that feels confortable for you. Through Meditation you can learn how to become aware of yourself and can really be helpful to help you even when you're outside living your regular life.

I've always found that meditation works perfectly just before bed, it makes you more relaxed and puts the stressful day behind you. During WBTB's you are already relaxed because of the sleep, so you won't need it much ;) It also works before wild-napping during the day.

Day 5!

Day: Just awesome. Nothing more to say.

Night: 3 dreams recalled. After realising I am dreaming I woke up immediately. I realised after seeing my reflection at the mirror.

P.S. I will be adding meditation and binaural beats to my experiment. ;D

You should make it a 2 month thing, considering your book has you doing things for about 10 weeks.

I like this a lot better than the 90 day ones. I think that's too long. I might give this a try but I am terrible with sticking with it and doing it everyday. ADA is the most important thing I believe. When I did it before I went to bed, I would have a lot of dreams about myself observing my surrounding. It would consist of me standing in an open area and just looking at everything. So I believe ADA transfers into your dreams. Its very crucial to become a good LDer in my perspective.

Day 6!

I took a break at the weekend, because you can't Lucid Dream when you are drunk. ;D

Day: usuall.

Night: I meditated before going to bed and woke up at 5 o'clock in the morning. Wrote my dreams down, mantred (nice verb), visualizated (another one) and fell asleep. No LD, but my dream was so real that after waking up I didn't understand if it was dream or real life scene.

Day 7!

Finally. This night has showed me some results. Even thou I overslept and didn't do anything during the night I am pretty sure I had lucid dream. The only problem is... that I can't remember it. I was woken up very fast (Let's say that I was late) and it killed my dream recall. How do I know that I had LD? Because of the feeling. I felt the same way as I feel after having nice LD.

yeah, sometimes I have hardly no recall, but I can just tell that I had a LD. Keep up the good work!

I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea not long ago (wake up 70+ times an hour.) I just recently got my CPAP machine. I'm now only waking up 2-3 times an hour, but im still feeling completely sleepy and foggy all day, so it's hard for me to focus on awareness... Or anything else for that fact. I will definantly support you, but I'm afraid I can't join you :(

Damn. I am sorry, but I guess being sorry won't help. I believe that you will become master LDer anyway. ;D

Alright. Describe your previous Lucid Dream.

- I'm walking in my front yard, I just know its a dream, I didn't do any RC or anything, I just knew. I've been wanting to find my dream guide, so I start calling out "Dream guide, come here!" After about 10 seconds a beaver runs up to me and smiles... ( I'm like WTF 0.o my DG is a beaver) I ask him if he is my DG, I forgot what he said, but I think it was yes. I then asked him "Can you show me how to get to the harry potter castle?" "Ive been dying to go there in a LD. He said, "you mean, the castle right behind us?"
I turn around the see the ****ing castle right in front of me... I was in shock of excitement, which I guess is what woke me up right then Oh well, I'm hoping to start having more ans more LD's so I will visit it again :)

Quick question.... Was that beaver actually my DG? Which would be weird but awesome at the same time lol.

Edit: I have 1 more question. In this LD, I knew it was a dream, and I was controlling it, but it seemed... more like I was dreaming that I was having a LD. It's hard to describe, it's like I have a very low level of lucidity. Is there anyway to increase my level of lucidity in a LD, to where it's like I'm thinking as if I'm awake?

Ok Day 4. I went through my house drinking every water bottle and fauset dry. Untill their was nothing left and i was still dry as a bone. It was a nightmare. I woke up and drunk a gallon of water because i felt like i was in the sahara.

It was Lucid I guess. Or more like semi-lucid. ;D Nice dream anyway.

Day 2 for me: NO RECAL AT ALL lol

Day 5: having trouble once i get to SP to go lucid. I can get to SP every night but im having trouble starting a dream. So i gave up and fell asleep. Tonight my dream had me excepting an award on a stage in front of hundred's of people. It was funny cuz im going to this literary conference today where i hope to win an award for my paper.

I like when dreams represent reality.

Day 9!

I did everything right. Visualized, mantred after 5 hours of sleep. Then fell asleep with mantras in my head. And still no LD...

Day 9:
. Complete failure, no dreams recalled, just two useless images and no LD. I was probably too tired so I couldn't concentrate enough to make it through. I'll go to sleep an hour earlier tonight at around 10:00 P.M. ( I need to wake up at 5.30 every f***ing day). Today my digital voice recorder has arrived so I have got a fantastic tool to help me with dream recall.

I won second! haha my dream came true lol

Day 10!

Good dream recall like always, but no signs of Lucid Dream. And it has benn 1/3 of my experiment already. I should build up my confidence.

Silver medal and a nice certificate. Also goes on my college application.

O and damn i had one of those nights that I know i had a dream but can't remember it!

Day 3: Recalled 2 dreams (not whole dream, maybe half) No lucid.

Day 10:
No LD but I had the bliss to recall 5 awesome vivid nightmares waking up in sweat :banana:

Day 6: I remembered my dream when the cold outside air hit me. I am curled up, the cold wind wips around me, all I want is a jacket or a blanket. Ice seems to hang from my nose.

And sorry mirror that has to really suck.

No problem sandman, I was happy to be honest, I could just recall few useless fragments last week so 5 vivid nightmares in a row? I'm riding high man :D

I had a LD last week I woke up at 11am (I went to bed at 5am) so I wake up and I RC with the nose thing, no result... then I just closed my eyes and I can't even tell how time passed it was inmediately I was on SP ( I can tell because as a child I got a s!"#t load of this) I relaxed and soon enough I was in my room with my brother so I was like WTF I was just paralyzed... so I RC again and "Voala!" It was a dream, but one of my eyes was closed I couldn't get it open, I tried to hard to get it open and then I was awake :C

Alright. I am taking break on this weekend. Maybe I will get nice DILD.

Well, a WBTB means. Waking up for a set amount of time, then just going back to sleep with lucid dreaming on your mind. There is no SP involved unless your doing a WILD.

Day 4! WOW I must be having some sort of recall dry spell... I got nothing today, not even fragments. Any tips guys?

Day 7. A week from when i started trying and i had two LD's last night! First one was i was in Army boot camp going through training. This was very realistic, i could feel the sweat dripping down my face as I jumped over barrels and climbed the rope wall. I knew i was dreaming but i loved the dream so why change it? The next one (im a halo nerd) I was going through a covenant ship with elites jumping out of cryo chambers at me with energy swords. I kicked some ass! I loved the dream again so why change it? My WBTB worked :) 2 DILD accomplished in one night.

Congrats Sandman! Sorry to intrude but this thread intrigued me. I managed to get 3 LDs this morning, the first two was like a never ending chain of false awakenings so only the last one I would deem as a success. Overall I managed to recall 5 dreams from last night, I'll post them all in my DJ soon enough. Good Luck everyone and I hope you don't mind me joining in.

Day 11:
0 LD 0 dream recall. I woke up feeling like I had been hit by a truck. I think it might depend on my quality of sleep, that these days for some reason wants to be like sh*t :)

Perple, of course there's no problem for you to join. The more people the better I think. Since you had a great success with LD last night could you and Sandman briefly describe how you felt before going to sleep and how much rested you felt when you woke up? Apart from MILD I'm trying to find out to what degree INTENTION, MOTIVATION and quality of sleep play a role in becoming lucid.

Np Perple your always welcome in. And mirror instead of trying to WILD before bed and going into SP i went to bed at midnight. I entered into the boot camp dream about an hour before i woke up at four. That's just a guess though because i went through multiple days in the dream. After I woke up I only stayed up for about three minutes then went back to sleep. I skiped SP and entered the dream quickly. I woke up around 9 without SP. It took me a couple minutes to remember the dream. At first i didn't think i had any dreams. After sitting awake it all came rushing back. If you look at my other days this is how it usually goes. No memory then it hits me.

The last seven days my motivation has been through the roof. My only intention was to Lucid dream. Before I slept I told myself "your going to lucid drem" and it worked. The halo dream was awsome. The elites came at me with energy swords and I kicked their ass with a knife! OORAH! lol

This seems like MILD. And it's just Confidence.

It's not MILD at all. There is no set "mantra" there is no WBTB. it's telling your subconcious something that you want.

It has the same idea though. You appeal to your subconcious and focus on your thoughts and inner self. The whole point of MILD is to focus on your task at hand. I.E. Mantras.

Ok this is creepy. Last night I went out to eat with my parents then came home to watch the hockey game. Bout half way through I went and laid down in my room. I remember going back out after that and seeing the score was 4 to 3. Ok no big thing went and layed back down and had two DILD. Thing is today my dad told me the game ended in a score of 2 to 0. Apparently i had a false awakening.

Hahaha, FA always make me realize how vivid and realistic dreams can be. One time I had a FA, I woke up, said morning to my mom, talked to her for a minute about school. Then I actually woke up an was like.... The fuck just happened? Lol

I just realized it now because I talked to my dad about the game last night lol. I'm glad i didn't go to the bathroom lol.

Alright I want to start but don't know exactly what you guys are doing but I'll give it a shot...

Day 1

Had my first lucid dream! It was amazing! I did the reality check where you hold your nose and breathe and when I tried to breathe in it worked and everything just became extremely vivid! I looked up and flew to the ceiling but when I tried to go through it I couldn't so I slowly hovered back to the ground. I picked up a ball and turned it into an apple and it fell out of my hand or something. I forget what happened but I ended up in a glass box on the moon! It was scary at first because I couldn't see earth but then I looked to my left and saw it. I tried teleporting back there but it didnt work so I broke through the glass and flew back to earth. The rest is a little hazy but when I woke up from it It was really early and I thought to myself I really need to write this down but im soo tired i fell asleep for another hour woke up and was lucky enough to remember this much.

Question: I was in a dream and I told all my friends I was going to try to LD. I went to sleep and pretty much right when I got into the dream I did the RC and had my first LD. Would that be an example of MILD or what was it? When I did the RC I noticed my shoes were in front of a strangers house and that was a little wierd but i don't think that's why i did the RC. I don't know! Now I really wish I had written down the LD when I first woke up.

Day 5. Recalled one dream, it was only about a 2-3 minute fragment... no LD's.... damnit

I was looking at the post about "Possibly the key to Lucid Dreaming" and was fascinated by it so before I went to bed I said to myself "Yea, I'm a Lucid Dreaming Guru, I have them every night and you better believe they are awesome!" Then I went to sleep not thinking much of it. Well to sum up, I met my Dream Guide, his name is Torso (ikr) and he looks a lot like Samuel L Jackson. He taught me how to perfect my flying, to shoot fire from my hands, change the weather which I always wanted to do and took me to a big city where we got into a bar fight :cheers:. It was incredible and I felt like a true lucid master. It ended with us planning our next adventure. :banana:

That sounds.... INCREDIBLE. Awesome lucid! I'm jealous :P I tried that last night to. I said " I am a lucid dreaming master, I have lucid dreams every night " I woke up today with no lucid and shit recall :(

Day 2

Had a dream but I didn't remember it because someone called me saying they had been in an accident. I remembered the second I woke up but by the end of the call I had nothing....

Thanks rynkrt3! I was so ecstatic when I woke up, I can barely remember all the other dreams I had now. It sucks to hear you had an uneventful night, I do feel your pain but as I always say when I'm going through a dry spell, Tonight will be the Night!

Day 12:
1 fragment recalled. No LD. From today on I'll try shifting from MILD to programming my subconscious and see what happens. I'll do some relaxation and then tell myself I am the most skilled lucid dreamer ever, that I lucid dream EVERY night. I won't use future like the MILD technique requires because that doesn't seem to work for me. What I read about programming the subconscious suggests that you have to set your goals and do affirmations in the present, not in the past or future. I think our lives are based upon expectation, just like dreams. If you expect something to go wrong it will go wrong, I realise this thinking about some exams I failed at university. Every time I thought I would have been successfull no matter what, I passed the exam even with little study. When I had even the slightest doubt about myself even if I studied hard.... I failed. I don't think memory has so much to do with attaining lucidity and even techniques in general. We rely too much in everything we do upon external things but those are just instruments and the mistake is the attribution of success or failure on the instruments we're using. Ask yourself: Who is using those instruments? I am. The outcome always depends on us , on how WE use those instruments. So what is the instrument to be used in lucid dreaming? Techniques? Hmmm I think the only instrument really involved is our mind (don't let it trick you, you're not your mind). We then need to learn using, programming our mind the right way, nothing else is needed. From now on I'll post my results having this different approach to reach the goal. We can then compare our results. I see perple already had an incredible experience this way :D

I'm trying to learn to program my subconscious, two nights in a row I have done what others have had success with, yet it doesn't work for me. Not really sure what to do now.

I'm trying to learn to program my subconscious, two nights in a row I have done what others have had success with, yet it doesn't work for me. Not really sure what to do now.

Don't get discouraged. You are your own limit. As I said I think it all depends on you, not on techniques. You can have the best brushes and colours to paint with but YOU are the one who's painting. If you can't you can't blame the tools. Learn using them, which means to be patient, to be confident, determined and consistent. It's all you will ever need ;)
Oh and try not to think: it doesn't work for me. By doing this this you are working against yourself. You're reinforcing the idea that you can't. If you think it doesn't work... it will never work.

I understand lol, it just hard not to get a little discouraged when I've seen like 5 people in 1 day have results. Last night, and the night before, I get ready for bed, lay down and relax for a while. I say " I am a master lucid dreamer, I have lucid dreams every night I sleep " I had no doubt in my mind that I would LD. I said it once then went to bed. But nothing, is there something I'm doing wrong?

Hey I didn't have results aswell :D But this won't let me down. Before "programming" relax, your mind needs to be clear, quiet. When your mind is still you can start giving the commands. When you say I am a master lucid dreamer, I become lucid every night, really feel it, feel the excitement about it, feel the power behind those words. Then you can also visualise yourself being lucid (this sounds like MILD in a way). You have to repeat these steps several times but don't over do it. Once you have given the imput, your subconscious will do the rest. You can even do this 20 minutes non stop in one session and then don't think about it until you go to sleep. This is the theory. I need to put it to practice too and I'm doing it from today on.

Does it need to be said aloud or can it be in my head? People hearing me say shit to myself will be like 0.o lol

Ha ha! You can just say it in your head. I don't think saying it out loud would make any difference because self confidence is what really matters. It's how you feel when you say those things, not the things themselves or the way you say them

Day 8: Had a very vivid Lucid last night. Was at my school payong for lunch when I walked away for two seconds. I came back and my lunch was gone. So I went to my table said hi to my friends and went back to line and looked for it. My other friend came up and found it. I had one more that i'm having trouble recalling but if I do i'll come back on.

O and I looked at those key to lucid dreaming videos: pretty good.

That sounds so scary. I had a nightmare like that once about hell and demons, it was so frightening that I woke up in a cold sweat. I don't remember much of it now cuz I basically wanted to forget about it.

Ok guys so today I had the most vivid LD I've ever had and It lasted for about 1.30 to 2 hours (dream hours obvsiously) about 30 min in real life

I got to do pretty much I wanted to (with some limitation for my lack of experience in actual vivid LD's)

I will not bore you with the details of my dream since it was just me being stupid on everything I could imagine of doing, but I will tell you how it was that I got lucid...


Ok so I tried the WBTB and WILD tech, about 6 hours after falling sleep I woke up naturally went to the bathroom and then I went to bed and I told myself, "If I see something more than this bed, I'm dreaming, If I'm dreaming I'm lucid" then I just relaxed didn't thought much about the WILD I just tried to sleep while conscious... didn't work... BUT! as soon as I entered the dream I was already lucid just like that I don't know how that happen IDK if it was because what I just told myself, but soon I found myself in Dream State and Lucid just RC and that was it :P

Ima keep up trying with this technique and post the results

I read the Divine Comedy and also watched Dante's Inferno based off of it. They are both really good.

Yeah I read inferno already but i just bought a nice copy of the Divine Comedy so I'm just reading through inferno again before i go onto Purgitory. It's a lot better than tale of two cities. Charles dickens needs to learn to get to the point. lol

Good recall and lucid dream after the first day of "subconscious programming". I'll keep practicing this method. I'll keep you updated ;)

How did you go about programming your sub-c? I just say it once before bed.

I first relax, then I spend 10-15 minutes giving the commands using the present, visualising, feeling good about it. I do this in the morning, then I don't think about it during the day, but for example today even if I'm not thinking about it I feel powerful :D I think it would work even before going to bed though.

Yeah, im going to do this tonight, minus the visualization, my visualization skills... Are, well.. non-existent lol.

Yes, you can add some colour. Like: I am a natural lucid dreamer. Every time I fall asleep I become lucid or Every time I fall asleep I am conscious I'm dreaming etc

I wrote a letter to myself stating that I have 3 lucid dreams every night, and that I am a master. Kind of like what Bruce lee did.

I'm doing my best to believe what I am saying/writing. I think if I do it enough it will become engraved.

Hi guys, this is Day 4 reporting for today and yesterday. Day 3: 2 non-lucid dreams recalled and 1 lucid via FILD. Day 4: 2 dreams recalled none of which I became aware. FILD/DEILD seems to really be working for me but this is a 30 day DILD and MILD experiment so as of right now my DILD count is 1 and MILD 0! I just started reading this topic yesterday and started using ADA. I remembered 3 awesome dreams last night:)

Anyways, I have a question. Do beginners have to be aware all day? Or can you do it in a few small sessions a day? Like 5-10 minutes of being aware? And then work your way up to being aware all day?

No pony, is not strictly necessary to be aware all day. Just get used to paying attention to things you usually give for granted. Become aware of the silence between words, become aware that you're breathing, that metal has reflections and so on. It's like a form of meditation

Day 11: one dream vivid. I was being carried in the hand of a giant. Pretty funny because dante was being carried by a giant in the canto im on.

Quick question about this. So ADA is basically being aware of EVERYTHING? That seems kind of hard to do sometimes though. Like, whenever I'm doing something I feel like I have to slow down so I could really be aware of my senses. LOL.

Btw, day 2 was basically the same as day 1. I only remembered one dream but it was very long and very vivid. I'm gonna do a WBTB/MILD tonight as well I think:)

I was very busy so I could hardly do ADA, but today I have lots of time. I only recalled one dream last night.

HAha! No recall and no LD. I didn't sleep at my place last night so I didn't put the intention to have a LD and infact I didn't. I'll have it tonight, no problem.

I've been having some major blood sugar problems these past 3-4 days. Once I get it under control and figure out why it's been so high, I will resume this experiment.

I just realized that I was because it didn't feel right, remained lucid for quite a while like 10 min or so... flew to some place in the mountians...
I started the awareness thing maybe three days ago.

no lucid dreams, I had a cool one though about a surfboard the size of a skateboard on a lake, used it like a ripstick! and I would estimate I got up to like 40 mph! it was sooo cool!
pretty boring day otherwise. yesterday I finally landed my flat ground gainer and just about landed my 360 backflip. some people wanted to videotape me and my friend free running but by the time they spoke up about it my abbs were too sore!
but that's not my dreams... and tonight I will engage in lucids of epi-tastic-win-ness! and I will... and so will all of you guys and girls too...

Recalled few dreams, I was very close to becoming lucid.. very close :)

I had a good sleep this night and I had no lucids, but I had pretty cool dreams I am pretty sure.

Idk what day but bad dream. It was 16th century europe and i was in the middle of a power struggle for the crown. woke up feeling hopeless and desolate. what a crappy dream.

I had multiple times in one dream where I became lucid, it was a cool dream so I didn't do too much to change the dream, I had someone tell me I was dreaming two of the three or four times...
That got me thinkin, is it possible to have your superconcious (in the form of a DC) tell you that your dreaming, if it can wake you up at an exact time I would think it could also tell you that your dreaming.

Yes. it's possible for your DC to tell you "you are dreaming". Use mantra for that like "My DC always tells me I am dreaming"

Tonight will be my third, this is my first day of ADA. Hopefully it makes a difference, I had a fairly vivid dream last night with some fairly obvious signs it wasn't reality (woke up pissed off with my subconscious for missing the fact there were cheshire cat posters all over the school).

Maybe I'll attain lucidity.

DAY FIVE!!!
I had a coupple dreams remembered last night including people giving me 150$ for a few backflips... and something about fixing a jeep and summer camp, with 2foot deep snow!
and no Lucids. :( but I will tomorrow!

Lucidity achieved on 3rd night of trying! :banana: I was lucky to wake up at around 4:30, I instantly thought 'I need to try WBTB', I put on some isochronic tones and though I could not get comfortable enough to sleep, once I took the earphones out I fell asleep and became lucid with an incredibly euphoric feeling. I got ahead of myself and tried to summon some DC's and lost most of my lucidity, this semi lucidity only lasted 10 minutes as I slipped into another, non-lucid, dream.

Hello All! I think this is day 12.

Many, many, many distractions lately so I can't seem to focus on my ADA. I recalled 2 dreams this morning and managed to get electrocuted in one of them but no lucid. It's not like I can't get lucid dreams anytime I want to cuz I can, it's just that I get so many of them every night that I get weary of them sometimes. You guys should know what I mean but the breaks over and I'm ready to let them smother me again. Good Night!

Perple, I've been very dedicated to ADA the last couple of days, I think it was a large part of why I achieved Lucidity. Unfortunately only one fragment last night, that was with no Binaural Beats at all. I may have to make them a feature of every night :/

I had a lucid dream last night, it was pretty cool. My Dream Guide and I went to Paris, France (our original plan was Japan but when we got there it was a mess from you know). We went shopping, visited some museums, climbed the Eiffel Tower and ended it off at some fancy restaurant eating escargot . I told him to be in all my dreams to let me know that I'm dreaming and he said he will so he better. I told you guys the break is over. G'Night!

I recalled two dreams on each night but no lucid since my DG was a no show. The past two days have been very hectic and noisy for me so I didn't really put any effort into lucid dreaming or ADA but the quest still continues..Good Luck Everyone and Good Night!

Maybe I'll post my experiences too!

I'm going to be posting here also now. I'm on Day 2 and I've had one night of borderline WILDS. Yesterday I was using directive statements before I fell asleep and throughout the night. When Falling back asleep I was using the directive statements and imagining myself spinning.

Today for the second half of the day I've been using DR's and ADA on the run up to the night. I might also try a placebo pill as a means to induce lucidity which I'll take groggily through the night.

Day 3
I tried WBTB this morning but wasn't able to fall back asleep. I think this is because I was doing a mantra and concentrating on this prevented me from even getting as far as SP. Well, that as well as all the noise in the house I'll be doing the night shift with our youngest tonight so will try and use this technique at around 4am when he usually wakes up. After trying ADA for the second half of yesterday I did notice I was far more curious in my dream poking at sticks floating on water. So I'm gonna do ADA and RC's today, see if anything happens tonight and then again at the 4/5 and 6 am mark.

Edit:
I'll be going shopping with my kids today and as most of my Dreams involve me moving around I'll be concentrating hard on awareness in crowds and the sensation of walking. Also continuity whilst walking.

Day 4:
After ADA and RC's all day I had hoped I'd LD but to no avail. Woke up 2 hours into sleep and had it in my head to MILD and FILD but fell asleep. More aware in dreams but come second half of night was so tired all I could manage was a weak "I will become lucid before collapsing back into bed. Recalled 4 dreams but prob had more. I'll be able to do a good few hours sleep and then wake up tonight. Will also do ADA and RC's.

Day 5: Had hoped after full day of ADA and RC that would set me on the right track but when I finally got to bed was so tired I slept thru the night. Even waking at 6am I was too tired to do a WILD. Doing some RC's today and Not ALL day awareness. Still pretty tired. Also plan on calling my old spirit guide who's appeared in dreams before.
Dream one: Walking through neighborhood to house with friend. At house and various things happening in house. Wall made of wood falling in. Fires being lit in house and not going out.

Dream two: Old neighbors house, lots of people there. Some tenious link to Star Wars in my head. People I did not know there. Cat on top of person.

Dream three: Shopping in regular shopping centre. First got groceries and then clothes for my kids, ended up leaving it too late and not getting kids clothes I needed.

Dream four: In house I work (didnt look like it). Got angry at kids as a means to control them. Had to restrain one and person with me didn't help. Met people from old job there.

Day 6: Became semi Lucid in a dream losing it soon after when distracted but definitely progress! Tried WILD but kept falling asleep. Will try again tonight. Will continue to use ADA and RC's.

Dream 1: Semi Lucid! Was in friends house and went outside realising something was not right. Then became lucid but was distracted by lights in the sky. These became Martian ships that came down. When they beamed me up they asked me to make their facebook page and so awed was I by this that I lost lucidity.

Dream2: Another Alien invasion, quite fast paced. Don't remember much.

Dreams in short bursts.

Dream 3: Very vivid dream of walking form a monastary up an exotic mountain. Interactions with DC's were realistic and rewarding. Scenery vivid and great. Quite a long hike. Then ended up transitioning to dublin for all of us to get cash out and sleep in a tent. Then back to exotic location were me an my wife picked up a violent goth gamer girl. I then went to an apartment and beat up a super hero.

Day 7: Spent most of the day in work trying not to sleep so when I eventually got to sleep I conked right out. Can only recall the theme of my dream and the fact it was very long. Going from full nights sleep in work to waking up nearly every hour in work in wrecking me but I seem to have more success at home :)

Day 8: Had a day of RC's and partial ADA. Tried WILD at night and to no avail. But on plus side had a great sleep.

First was in a shopping centre with people from primary school and was a kind of disco. Went home with wife.

Second, in work kid misbehaved, took him home. Then went walking around a town. Wasn't with kid anymore and had a false awakening. Then in room with wife and two strangers and ate a mushroom from mario Bros complete with sound.

Third was a train station that I was half boss of. Half arsed attempt to redo it. Train accident and person from TV show I had watched just before bed. Transformed into sitting room and then a hospital.

Day 9: Took a break from ADA and RC. Normal LONG and good dreams but no lucidity. Plan to do ADA and RC today. Keep falling asleep when WILDING.

I just read this post congrats to everyone seeing results! Ive been triyng to LD for a couple months now but have seen little results which has been very discouraging i stopped thinging about LDing for a couple about a month and here i am again! I have found many posts and have been intrigued by the ADA method or technique, just curious what your book said or the way you have been approaching ADA.

Thanks in advance for any replies! ( I have already read KingYoshi's post on ADA, just looking to expand!)

Havent posted over the wkend as have been busy. Have recalled over last few days. Used ADA as much as possible which wasn't much and identified two recurring dreams. Managed lucidity towards end of dream last night but ended up with a false awakening. :) Still happy I can achieve it.

hey guys, thanks for all the support, but as you already noticed I quit this. Why? Because I found guaranted way to have LD at least once per week. It's SOBT. Read Mcwills thread about instant wild for more information.
