      Inception themes

In a lucid dream, would I be possible to make a device appear like the suitcase in inception and link with a DC and go "Deeper" into a dream to give it more time. Could it extend the dream?

From some of the dream journal entries I've read on here I would say yes. Your not gunna go "deeper" into the dream, but you will probably change location, giving the illusion that you have gone further into the subconscious

I've had a dream within a dream before. I fell asleep in my dream and had a dream. I don't know if it extended dream time or not but I had a dream within a dream still.

The whole idea of that is kinda funny.
You can have a dream within the dream, but there is no such thing as going "further into the subconscious" other than tricking yourself, but at that point you wouldn't be in a lucid dream.
As far as making the dream last longer, YES, that is one way of doing it.
Some people have a dream world last 1 day, others weeks, there are even people who have dreams that seem like over a year EVERY night, and they HATE it.
Others may enjoy being able to do this if they can control it for the full "year".

I never have tried to extend my dreams, as i never thought of a way to do it, But doing the "dream within a dream" to cause the dream to go slower, is funny and it MAY work, try it!
note: my longest dream felt about 1month long.... then fast fowarded about a year and lasted another 2weeks or so. I woke up felt like a new man LOL

I know what you mean. I love inception and think it is an amazing trick to prolong dreams. I actually want to see what a "limbo" state would be like. Infinite world lasting for years

Experiments have shown that "dream time" moves at the same speed as "real time". So no, it shouldn't actually make the dream any longer.

And as far as how the whole "dream within a dream" thing works, there's a thread with some good explanations, I don't have time now but I'll go get the link tomorrow.
