Congrats!! Yea I've lost lucidity before. It sucks, but you have stay focused during the lucid and not get lost in the dream too much. |

So the night before last night, I had my very first lucid dream! I was dreaming about something weird and I don't know exactly what, but I suddenly realized "THIS IS A DREAM!!" and immediately conducted observations as to what lucidity feels like and observed that I could not feel my sleeping body, everything looks just like real life or at least close, and I immediately tried to exercise control, so I snapped my fingers in an attempt to use my hand like a lighter, as that is a simple enough dream control exercise for a first time beginner, and the first few times nothing happened, but then it started sparking in a magical way and I got excited and kept trying, but something happened and the dream ended after 30 seconds, or it switched themes and I lost lucidity in the transition. I think I was confused as to whether or not I had waken up and if I was still in the dream, as that happens to me sometimes when I am on the very verge of becoming lucid (Like last night) |

Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.

Congratulations! Next time focus and stabilize the dream more. Staring at my hands helps me a lot, try it. |

One thing that helps, is to reality check every time you wake up, this way if you transition into a false awakening you'll regain lucidity |
