First full blown lucid ever!! YAY!

So the night before last night, I had my very first lucid dream! I was dreaming about something weird and I don't know exactly what, but I suddenly realized "THIS IS A DREAM!!" and immediately conducted observations as to what lucidity feels like and observed that I could not feel my sleeping body, everything looks just like real life or at least close, and I immediately tried to exercise control, so I snapped my fingers in an attempt to use my hand like a lighter, as that is a simple enough dream control exercise for a first time beginner, and the first few times nothing happened, but then it started sparking in a magical way and I got excited and kept trying, but something happened and the dream ended after 30 seconds, or it switched themes and I lost lucidity in the transition. I think I was confused as to whether or not I had waken up and if I was still in the dream, as that happens to me sometimes when I am on the very verge of becoming lucid (Like last night)

Congrats!! Yea I've lost lucidity before. It sucks, but you have stay focused during the lucid and not get lost in the dream too much.
Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.

Congratulations! Next time focus and stabilize the dream more. Staring at my hands helps me a lot, try it.

One thing that helps, is to reality check every time you wake up, this way if you transition into a false awakening you'll regain lucidity
