      Foggy Lucids

Ok so what happens is everytime I get lucid, in the dream it seems crystal clear (or at least clear) and every time I think "Wow it's like real life". But when I wake up it seems foggy, like a normal dream. Then it seems like I wasn't really in control anymore, though I know I was. What's also confusing is how I wake up and remember how clear it was when the actual memory is foggy.

How do I keep my dreams clear when I wake up? I think it would help if I really worked on my recall (my DJ should have way more entries) but is there anything else that will solve this problem?

I think it's just a foggy recall. My lucids are very clear that doesn't mean that my memory of it will be the same. I have not so good recall. I will do a wild, be in the dream for 15 minutes and when I wake I can't remember how the dream started. I feel lucids are only different when you are in the dream but when you wake recall is about the same as a regular dream.

You say you recall is foggy but you remember the dream being crystal clear. Probably because you said to yourself while dreaming (wow this is just like real life) so that made you remember the clarity of it but not the details of the dream. Try giving running commentary as you are dreaming it always helps me remember details. Example.. "i'm flying over my house, I am landing at the bank, people are looking at me funny"

Oh I can remember the details just fine. This is hard to explain and hard for myself to grasp. When I am in the dream, everything is clear. It's like real life, I see everything. It's not that I only know this from remembering how I felt, it's exactly what it was like in the dream. But then I wake up, and the experience itself fades until it's like a non-lucid. I remember the details, but the actual memory of it makes it seem as though it wasn't a living, breathing memory. It's as if I have two memories of it. The foggy one and the clear one. The clear one only happened when I was experiencing the dream.

My question is how I can make the memory of it -when I wake up- like every other clear memory in my head, and not unclear and foggy like a non-lucid dream

I hope I explained that right... it's strange I know.

I see.. I think. I havnt had this but sounds interesting. Are you writing them down as soon as you wake up? I'm not sure I can grasp the details of the problem for I can not relate.

Not as soon as I wake up, they're foggy as soon as I wake up. Hm... I might just try to work on my recall and see if it helps. At first I thought it was because my lucids weren't clear but now when i'm in the dream they're fine. It's just the memory that's pissing me off.

Yeah, that would piss me off also. I read that for best recall of dreams when you wake up.. Don't move a muscle and recall as you are laying in bed. the second you move the memory slips.

Wish I could help more. Good luck.
