      Question WILD or Astral Projection?

I was in Sleep Paralysis as I entered the dream scape and found myself in my bedroom, laying there on the bed. I stood up, walked around the room, but it began to fade. I started rubbing my hands vigorously and touching several objects in the room, but unfortunately it didn't seem to prolong the dream at all!

What interests me however, is this very strange feeling I felt throughout my entire body as I entered the dream scape during SP. There were also several electrical shock sensations, but no pain.

I don't really believe in astral projection, so I want to know what tests I can do to confirm if I am in the dream state or in the astral plane. Obviously a digital clock should always show the same numbers in the astral plane, should it not?

What other tests can I do?

It's really common to "see through your eyelids" during a WILD. So basically you enter the dream and appear in your bed, and it's like a false awakening. So that's probably what you experienced, pretty awesome right?

I don't know that much about astral projection though, so I can't really offer opinions on that.

That exactly describes it!!! It was really as if I saw through my eyelids, and the image just became sooo vivid. Then I moved my dream body out of bed!

Are there any other threads talking about this?

IMO Astral Projection, WILD, and OBE are all fundamentally the same thing. Using these techniques you all end up in a dream state, similar to that of lucid dreaming. Only when your consciousness rise to certain level, you begin transcend into other territories which is beyond the scope of this discussion. And no, what I mean by consciousness rising is not the same as gaining more lucidity.
