Thread: Has anyone here revisited their Childhood.

I haven't exactly done this, but sometimes in my dreams I will be a kid again. But I don't think I've ever found myself at my old grade school or meeting up with my friends from that age or anything like that.

This happens in some of my non-lucid dreams -- I've never tried age regression in a lucid dream, but it's on my list now!

Well I guess this leads onto a question about authenticity. My One and only Lucid to date was very realistic, not wacky or anything. (More like Realism). But while the Scenery changed as in relative to the time period etc, I remained the same age as I am now. It would be quite fun to become a Kid again though.

i've done it, but not in lucidity, only in a regular dream. I've found myself back in Junior school, with the friends i had then, all the same age they were then, and looking the same. I haven't had such a dream for many years though...and i would now wonder what it meant if i did!

If you think childhood was fun, all of you people need to turn 40 and have your so-called midlife crisis. Imagine a child with thousands of dollars of expendable income who doesn't have to ask anybody's permission to spend it. They don't say "Life begins at 40" for nothing, you know.

But yes, in dreams, when one asks oneself where one is, then in many cases the dream scene becomes apparent as a locale known in one's youth, often built up beyond recognition, but once you look close, you can see it.

Does anybody remember what was really great about childhood? Innocence. The Opposite Sex was nothing near approaching the harrassing priority it would later become in adolescence which would pursue the adult well into.. well, his Forties, when sexuality is still possible but it loosens its bite enough to become "resistable". Like a child again a mature man can laugh at some silly temptation which would have been seen as an opportunity just some years before. Once the protruding edge is off one's sexual desires, no interests can be entertained. Thus we have the return to Toys in men over 40. Fast Cars, motorcycles, a renewed interest in sports, even though the body is deteriorating, so many sports sponsor "Master's" Divisions for those over 40.

Sure!... I was a child... back in the Good Old Days.

I've never visited my childhood during a LD, but I did so during many lucidlike trips... My childhood seems to be a recurrent theme there...
