Thread: Just who Has the Upperhand within a Lucid.........

The Conscious, Sub-Conscious or Un-Conscious Mind. I am a little concerned about Crossover in "Real LIfe". An Opened Gateway..........I hope Not. Just as long as my Childhood Imaginary Friend Doesn't make an appearance.

What I mean is......what stabilises Sanity within Waking Life. I mean aren't these "Checkpoints or Boundaries" there for a reason.

How does it effect your education, daily job, intreraction with family and friends etc.

I dont know much about that stuff, but I noticed youve been double(triple) posting. I dont mean to whine, but try to keep it down.

I think we choose because Reality is what we make of it, so the way "alternate reality" affects you is only up to you. bad things only happen when we want them to happen, its the way we interact with anything else in the world. you can write a love letter with a pen but you can also stab somoene with the same pen. so even if your imaginary friend does appear, you can make the best out out of any situation.

Once in a book I read a quote that went something like:

"Dreams are like the stars. The stars are always up there, but when the sun is out it outshines them. In the same way, our conscious sensory experience outshines our dreams, but the dreams are always there."

Actually, it was said much, much, much more eloquently... Oh well...

Anyways, it basically means that we are always sort of dreaming, but our sensory input drowns it out and distracts us from it.

I'm not sure if I understand the question correctly or not but I'll put in my two cents. First of all to have peace and contentment with yourself you should realize that you are at least one with yourself. We have the ability to reflect on our selves with what I believe is the subconscious mind doing a double take of what we are seeing, feeling, etc, That awareness of our awareness is according to physiologist what makes up our consciousness. Sometimes we act automatically like when driving a car and you realize you don’t know what you’ve been thinking for the last minute. Then you start to reflect on what you’re thinking and you become more aware of it. We still are one person but we have different perspectives at times.

This is a very interesting question. I would believe that the sub-conscious has the upper hand. You can create your total dream enviornment but whats really making everything go in the dream? I mean think about it. Lets say you create a dream from WILD you watch this dream unfold before your minds eye. Once within the Lucid dream whats really keeping the dreamworld balanced. who's stabalizing this world. The conscious mind is too focused on capturing this vibrant world. The motion of this world is being run by something, The sub-conscious is still the master over this dream world because it keeps the ultimate balance. No matter what you do in this dream how you change perimeters around or the natural concept of this dream the balance is always just and never colapsed. Thanks to your sub-conscious mind. Well this is just an opinion.
