      Ok now this is stupid

Ok people being stupid in dreams is not uncommon but for me this is really bad. I was dreaming and I was at a sleep center. For like 20 minutes everyone in the dream is talking about sleeping and stuff. I had to have thought about lucid dreaming atleast 10 different times, and about normal dreaming even more. Even worse I saw this one guy and I was thinking "oh he really looks like my boss". Now I don't remeber this 100% but I think I may have even thought "I wonder why he would be in my dream".

Not once did I do a RC or even stop to think of why I would be there. Anyway the dream ended up going into something else and I never went lucid.

Ignorant bliss is an oxymoron; but so is miserable truth.

Like Paperdoll said, it does happen, and it's nothing to be ashamed about. People make mistakes like this all the time and it' really pretty normal. Just accept it and keep it up You should be able to recognise soon

We all need to remember that Reality Checking is only an indirect form of Mental Suggestion. If it worked infallibly I would be much more behind its almost universal acceptance as the Way, the Truth, and the Light of Lucid Dreaming. But it often breaks down in practice.

If one should focus all of one's energies on engraining a Mental Suggestion, why not make that Mental Suggestion a Direct Suggestion -- "In my Dreams I will simply become aware that I am Dreaming... I will be a Lucid Dreamer". Enough of asking your Higher Mind for these little detective clues. the Higher Mind must be laughing at us! It provides the Clues, all right, but only the Onset of Lucidity can recognize them for what they are.

So try direct suggestion (I will become Lucid) and quit with all of this House of Card Complexity that has become the fad and darling of the Lucid dream Movement.

Actually when I really want to become lucid I do say "I will become lucid". I really do suck at RCs. Infact I never become lucid from RCs. More often than not I notice weird things and become lucid, then use a RC to make sure. Though I have mostly stopped that too.

Its just 20 minutes of talking about it and not noticing kind of suck. I did however get great recall from that dream though. It went into another dream, then that dream went into something else and I remeber all 3. Which is pretty rare because my recall has been kind of on the low end lately.

Ehehe... I had a dream that I actully asked a DC, who resembled one of my friends,,

"So.. I must be dreaming, eh?"
      My friend: Yup.
      Me: Mmk.

Then I didn't think twice about it,and continued on with the dream. When I woke up, it made me blink stupidly for a second.

Not that RC's always work. I once dreamed that I did a nose breathe RC and it worked but I never thought that I'm dreaming. How stupid is that.

Actually that stupidity follows us for some seconds when we wake up right from sleep.

One time when the alarm went off....an I was trying to turn it off by switching the CDplayer on an off.

Yeah these things happen to the best of us. I have a friend who I talk to about my lucid dreams often. Now in one of my dreams I was telling her about a flying experience I had and about how its gotten easier for me to take off from a stationary position, and she said "oh you mean like this and she just took off vertically and flew straight into the air. So when she came back down. I told her "Yeah thats exactly how I did it. I cannot wait to have another Lucid Dream so I can do that again"' duh

I tell ya I felt like a complete idiot when I had awaken from that dream..lol
