I was thinking about how cool it would be if I invented something that could somehow RECORD YOUR DREAMS. So you can watch it when you wake up. lol Maybe a holographic representation of the dream, and you could have like different views. See which is the scariest dream, like you think that movie is scary take a look at this. It would make keeping a record of them so easy.Ofcourse there are issues such as atmosphere, feeling ect. There would be problems but the idea is there.....and maybe it could even have an automatic interpretation of your dream according to the data you enter, as the program knows more about you it can give you information/ ideas ect. Possibilities are endless here.It would put a dream journal to shame. I wonder if anyone knows anything about how this could ever be done.Maybe it is possible! I might do some research on it. See if I can find anything interesting.

I think recording some dreams wouldnt be a good idea otherwise the ppl viewing them would have to be able to deal with what ever they are viewing.

I agree it would be cool, but as bmx-life stated, heaven forbid your dream recorder should fall into the wrong hands (some dreams should simply remain private). But maybe if there was a security lock on the dream recorder that would destroy the recorder if it was tampered with (ala Mission Impossible)....

Then most of us here woudl be rich. they would no longer use real people and stuff in movies. They woudl just hire lucid dreasm to get the fottage thats needed for them. or anything elce like that. I bet lucid dreaming woudl become a nessiity if we had dream recorders.

I think it could be done, and maybe within 10 years. My theory is that they could have experienced lucid dreamers or any highly visual person hooked up to a machine that reads brain waves and responses. And that person could be told to imagine different things and visualize them. A river, a duck, a boat, a tv, a couch, a girl. Then with each image they measure the brain response from each and learn patterns, so that in a lucid dream they could come up with a crude representation of the dream. Then once they learn more about the response, they can do it more accurately. I think this is reasonable.

Dismissing the tech concerns.... A dream recorder would lay out the human dreams for all to see Maybe a bit uncomfortable But the truth is the only reliable mesuring stick I would be willing to lay out my deepest thoughts to seek a greater good (digressing to political concerns) maybe Islmasists would see they seek the same truth as Christians, Budhists, etc (a truth I see as false) But nonetheless truth is our only hope truth in science while not dismissing spirit (not giving lives on any ancient book that has been translated and transmuted and transplanted a 100 times)
