From Dream To Reality

Hey I remember having a dream about being a rock star and playing a show in front of a huge crowd. Anyways I remembered the tunes so I picked up my guitar and played them out along with writing down some of the lyrics the next morning. I still play them to this day and they are some of my favorite songs I've ever written. I was wondering if anyone else has any experiences with transfering ideas from dream to reality whether its music or creating art out of your dreams.

Dear Lateralus, Music is one of my hobbies, and I have had dreams in which I have 'sat in' with some bands and famous singer-songwriters. It was a great deal of fun each time. One of my favorite moments was with playing with Carly Simon. After the concert she invited us all to a weekend party at her place on the island of Martha's Vineyard. She even came by and sat down on a sofa lawnchair and chatted politely with me for about 5 minutes. In all of my dreams I have never met a more hospitable or charming hostess. But I am not a professional musician. With one of the bands, I believe we did an orignal piece, and I was even granted a solo on keyboard, but forgot it after I woke up. What my specialty is in is Theology and Philosophy. With this my dreams have proved most essential. Angels have put me on the track of all of my most interesting 'beliefs'.
