      Is this Normal?

Im having a problem with getting sleep.

Everytime my dreams end I wake up.I end up waking up about 4 or 5 times a night because of this and can't get fully rested.Im not sure why im waking up when they end, But I suspect it has something to do with this ONE time I told myself I was gonna wake up after every dream. But now its starting to really annoy me because I cant get a full nights sleep. The only benifits to this im having is I can remember each of my dreams.

So is it normal to do this, and if not, is there a way I can get back into sleeping through-out the night?

When you wake up, do you wake up so much you have trouble getting into sleep again? Do you always wake up after each dream every night? And if it has something with that one time you "programmed yourself" you are a pretty good self hypnosist , and you can use that to become lucid!

If you are very awake when you wake up you could always write down the dream. I myself have trouble remembering the dreams from the first dream cycles. And you could also try wilding, or set the intention that in the next dream you will recognize that you are dreaming and become lucid. If you think its a big problem to wake up you could always try to reverse the "wake up programming".

I did the same thing a while back:: programmed myself to wake up after each dream .It was really cool, and very beneficial for recall and lucidity. Over time I've encountered the same problem as you did, but I countered it by intoducing a "6 hour rule" - basically I'll sleep "dead" through 6 hours and then experience usual awakenings after each dream.

I still have the same approach to sleep: 6 hours for your body and the rest is for entertainment

Ive tried using this to become Lucid, but it hasn't worked.

And I have no trouble getting to sleep after I wake up, I can usually fall back asleep within 5 minutes of waking up.

But the fact that im waking up is disrupting my usual sleep cycle because each morning now i wake up real tired.I use to wake up refreshed but not anymore.

Yes, that does sound like a real problem. But it is also really good that you have found a technique that allows you to remember a full night of dreams. You have no problem falling back to sleep. So perhaps all you really need to do is add an extra Sleep Cycle to the Mix in order to top off on enough sleep to make you feel rested. 45 minutes added to your usual nights sleep should do it, subject to a little bit of fine tuning.

I dont know what to do now, Its 5:25 AM and I just got out of bed after trying to fall asleep for nearly 4 Hours (I went to bed at 1:35 AM).

I just ate a sandwich and I guess i'll try again...

I just hope this pays off, because the whole time I was in bed I kept telling myself "I wonder if Im Dreaming" and "I will have a Lucid Dream".

I'll post when I wake up how it went... hope it goes well.
