Boring lucid dreams? Recall+ WILD help
The first few lucid dreams I had were amazing. Everything was so vivid, animated, bright. I felt so alive and had a decent level of control. They lasted for quite a while, and back then I think I had better recall than I do now.
My recall now is either half a dream, or some fragments.
But I've only had about 5, out of 50 or so, lucid dreams that seemed great to me.
Most of the time now, I know I'm dreaming, and walk around, but don't try anything, or I wake up after a few minutes.
I had a LD last night, but everything around me didn't seem real, and I don't remember most of it, and I wasn't being completely aware of my lucidity, almost flipping back and forth. It's like I was on autopilot, and I didn't do anything too interesting. It wasn't any more exciting than any other old dream.
I've been really dissapointed about my recent lucids and recall, and I'd love tips to make my dream life and recall more exciting again.
Also, (this might have been in the dream) I remembered feeling very drowsy and heavy, and kept reminding myself that when I fell asleep I would be lucid. for some reason my thoughts were on black, compressed triangles. Everything around me encased in black and the dream popped up, like a movie screen, bordered in black, and I was drawn into it.
It seems eerily similar to the WILD technique, but I've only had DILDs before, and I woke up at 6 in the morning, having slept through the night.
It might have been a dream about WILD?
I'm also too paranoid to try out WILD because of sleep paralysis. If I break out of focusing during WILD, will I be in paralysis? I've heard some creepy stories of sleep paralysis, and am too paranoid to try it.
NOTES: I often forget to stabilise, and when I do, it doesn't seem to help much
It kind of feels like I'm not really in the dream?
I seem to forget that I can do something fun and exciting, so I just walk around and lose lucidity or wake.
