You can dream in the day, just you won't always dream. Most of the time you will enter REM sleep right away, but it's not guaranteed you'll fall asleep in 20 minutes. Especially if you're not tired. |

I recommend experimenting with daytime naps if you get a chance. Your brain is more awake, and because you are less likely to have NREM sleep in between your critical mind is more likely to find something unusual in the dream and cause you to test your state, or realise you are dreaming |
