      A false false awakening... what!?

This morning I woke up and I was in a house I lived in 6-7 years ago. I was on the couch. I even saw a cat on there with me. I went to pet the cat then realized there was not a cat there when I hit my blanket. I knew I was awake then. That was just strange. I could have sworn I was sleeping at the time. Also, right before that I was dreaming for several minutes. That is at least what it seemed like in the dream. When I woke up I checked the clock again and noticed it had only been a minute if that.

Yeah, false awakenings are pretty confusing sometimes!
That one kind of reminded me of THE MATRIX, when Neo said, "deja vu" when he saw the same black cat...

Last night i had lots of false awakenings. I was doing MILD in my dream, i managed to induce a lucid dream, then i woke up(in my dream) forgot to do a reality check, wrote down my dream and then induce another one with MILD(from inside my dream), woke up again, tell it to my brother, wake up again( for true this time). So i did a reality check but i was awake

yeah, you've got to get into the habit of performing reality checks EVERY time after the end of an LD.
I've wasted a lot of opportunities by not doing that

No, it was a FALSE false awakening. I was really awake when I thought I was asleep. I even had my eyes open. I was just not seeing anything. Only what was in my head.

Maybe you were doing a sleepwalking sort of thing, and woke up when you touched the blanket.

And now, almost a year later, that's still the only one I've had...

yeah they are pretty confusing! Our dog was crying lots in the night so I was (really) up at 3 to let him out, and then I woke up (or so I thought) and took my temperature (as I do every morning, it's a trying for a baby thing) while writing my memories of the "dream" down. When I REALLY woke up I was surprised to see that I had written nothing and the thermometer had not been used.

I guess this means I have a long way to go!!
