repeating dream, not wanting to be lucid, what does it mean?

i have dreams where i am with this guy, whom i like, very.. very much. we are at a party, where someone we both know is making skirts. she tells me not to get jelous of his skirt, though he is just holding it... somehow we end up on an old couch my family used to have in this house.. its a house we were at a party at, in reality. we kiss... and i wake up.

somehow i can controll the color of the skirt.. and when we kiss, i tell myself not to wake up, but i do anyways.. with this dream, i don't even mean to make it lucid, but it is..

any adivice on what this dream might mean, and how to stay lucid, and not wake up..? i guess...

roses are red, violets are blue
sugar is sweet, and so are you
but the roses are wilted and the violets are dead
the sugar bowls empty, and so is your head.

      Don't kiss!

Any form of sex, whatever base one is working on, will wake a dreamer up.

One really has to make some choices. but the choices are easy enough. One can keep sex and all of that business in one's waking life, while reserving our dreams for sustainable Dream Adventures.

Indeed, Dreams offer a gateway into the Ways of Higher Spirituality -- a far better Gate Way than can be found in Waking Life. It would just seem wise to keep our interests in their proper domains: Sex in Waking Life, where we can have marathon sex sessions with no interruptions at all; and Spirituality in Dreams, where our Lucid Dream can last as long as a REM cycle could possibly allow, as long as we don't try keeping a 'date'.

      Hi Kat

In relation to the interpretation of your dream, from my perspective I would set in motion the idea you have/want a highly developed ‘friendship’ with this person. From the overall sound of your dream you have a very multifarious expressive link to this person in question which you wish to express.

If you are at a party with this guy it shows you are comfortable and contented around him at social events, he makes you feel secure when amist the chaos. Even though you are afriad of other ' girls' to be around him. His skirt could describe a more feminine side to his personality you/he might be afraid to explore and you shouldn’t feel anxious for him to develop that side to his personality.

In my opinion the couch part reinforces the idea of a connection/relationship/bond etc I would think it would respond to a part of your life when you were happy and comfortable, being on the old couch with him could also symbolize that connection perfectly.

Sorry if I am totally off key with this ‘interpretation’ but it does seem interesting.

If you can control the color of the skirt it could mean you have some sort of ‘control’ or ‘understanding’ of his emotional state and you are trying to ‘change’ it. You speak to each other without the use of words etc.

The kissing part obviously refers to the desire, you lust for this person, the reality of the fact you want to stay in the moment in this heightened state of awareness rather than to wake up and face reality.

This is just my insight, I wouldn’t take every word as truth, just my point of view as they are not my dreams.

      Hope it helps.
