I think most people dig flying because it is an easy skill to learn. It feels "real." As far as we know anyway, what with all the drops in your stomache like on a rollercoaster and everything. Freud thought it was a sexual dream since rising was symbolic to him of having an erection. Psychologists today don't think that anymore. Maybe a non-lucid flying experience will have some symbolism to it, like rising above some kind of bad situation as a way to escape. Lucid flying, however, is just fun (in my opinion). |
