In this video, Derren Brown experiments with controlling a person's dreams. If you notice, he does use suggestion by saying specific words, for example, he says "There's no reason to flake out or anything"

But I'm specifically interested in the video clip he shows him. The music playing, which is loud and magnificent, combined with the bright and flashing colors, seems supposed to overwhelm his senses, so his subconscious can pick up on bits of text on the screen, and pictures, perhaps.

It's also interesting, that he listened to the same piece of music in the car, where he was to get no visual input.

What I'm wondering, is if it would be possible to use a technique like this to induce lucidity. If the dream was simply controlled to include dream signs or the like. The problem would be, if you throughout the day would be required to listen to the music with no visual input, or if it doesn't work if you're aware of what it's supposed to do.
