I don't know, for me it seems like a fantasy story that happens to have elements in it, that also often appear in dreams. It's quite hard to say if it was inspired by lucid dreaming, but I don't believe it. |

Here's a blog post on all the connections I'v found in the book |

I haven't done that much research into J. M. Barrie so I don't know. But I agree. I actually don't think that he was inspired by lucid dreaming either. But I think certain authors get "inspired" by higher forces (who perhaps knows a great deal about the nature of the higher dimensions) so it sort of flows through them if they are attuned. |

Well imagination, dreams the human psyche and all that... it's all one and the same. So even if not inspired by lucid dreams, the source is the same. |

Interesting post. I know of a few famous authors, painters, etc inspired by dreaming/lucid dreaming. I've also heard Alice and Wonderland was inspired by a lucid dream! |

I second that! I know that the Peter Pan movie was made by Disney and Walt Disney used his dreams for inspiration for everything he did. Maybe there is a connection between them! |
