I can say from experience (though doctors tell me otherwise) that alcohol is helpful
I usually have a glass of red wine at night and that relaxes me.

The trick of drinking milk is suppose to help. It contains melatonin which aids in sleeping. I have also heard it is good to drink the milk warm. Not sure if that really works, but it also tastes nasty

I don't know if that helps, but that is all I could think of, besides the common Turkey theory
I am sure others here can help you more.

I'm not Mr. Advertise today i just know of some handy things the person can use (lol). Ive heard of a certain milk that is produced during the night and contains more melatonin because of the cows being milked during the night -

      the information above is helpful.

A drink that helps me to fall asleep is Horlicks (www.horlicks.co.uk).

Good exercise during the day is best so you go to bed feeling tired.

as always you could take natures sleeping aid 2 hours before bed and have a great sleep. (marijuana ><) i also like dews idea!

if u for some reason have reservations about breaking the law, you could always try www.bwgen.com . download the generator and put headphones on and select the "sleep induction" preset. easy as that. may even get u lucid!

      give it a shot ok

      yeah, horlicks works.
the other thing i do, is make sure i am relaxed before i fall asleep...half an hour or an hour before i want to go to sleep, i turn my computer off, have a cup of tea (funnily enough it doesn't keep me awake) and read a book in bed...i'm out like a light then!
i think the main thing with sleep problems is routine.

if you're having trouble sleeping then go out and play some sports or excersize till you're really tired. Your body should be more willing to sleep then. I dont really personally recommend taking "supplements" to make you go to sleep earlier though
