Post Am i getting closer to LD ?

Short story short, i walked in my younger brothers room and when i turned around, the door wasn't there anymore, it was just a wall. This sort of abnormality isnt common within my dreams, i always have dreams that could happen in real life no matter how far fetched but this couldnt have happend url. So as i noticed this, i thought that this couldnt be real, however i didnt think it was a dream, i only thought to my self that this was strange. So, i put my hands on the wall and pushed. I was able to open the area where my door was .. and thats about it
I wonder if i had been doing more RC throughout my day that i could of lucid, guess i missed my chance

Well, that was certainly a close one. One dream alone cannot indicate that you're closer to a LD (everyone has once in a while these moments), but it sure does show that you're paying attention to what's happening, which if it happens again, can mean lucidity

Practice always helps, so you just need to grab onto that experience and assume that it will happen again as you practice your reality checks. And don't worry, I'm sure you'll have many more chances to have fun in a lucid

Close one indeed! As for the reality checks, more practice with them is good. Remember though: quality over quantity. When you do your reality checks, double check your answers to be thorough. "Am I sure about my reality check?" "What if this is actually a dream and I just think my reality check worked?", etc. The same mindset hopefully will manifest itself in the dream world and get you lucid for real.

      Cheers!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

Definitely getting closer, to add what everyone else said you could try doing mantra when going to the bed "Whenever i see something weird/out of place, i'll do reality check" to increase chances of you remembering to do that in dream.
