Watch TV in your dreams!!!

Something I do in my dreams now on regual basis is watch the tv. Its absolutly amasing!!!! Every night before you go to bed say to your self for a minuite or two "remember to watch the tv when im dreaming" over and over. Then when your dreaming and your in your house go to the tv and turn it on and its absolutly amasing! Whats on is 100% acurate with full framerate and everything! Also if you dont like whats on keep changing the channel. There are an infinite number of channels on the tv in your dreams because everytime you change it a new program is on. I have seen the coolest things like eminem music videos and other programs that are totally bizzare! Now everytime I dream and i become aware I hunt down the tv. Its sooo cool because you access to an infinite number of realitys! Please can you all give this a try and post on this board your results?

Yes it is cool. The bummer is ive seen soooo many amasing programs but I always seem to forget them which is a same Oh BTW though, you might have to say "remember when im dreaming to watch the tv" for a few nights before it will work so just be patient with it. I find the easiest way to remember is when im dreaming im in my house which im sure most people do. That always reminds me and I make my way to the television. I mean I really think its something all lucid dreamers should practice because when you have a tv in front of you and you can change channel you are in a sense able to change your dreaming reality at the flick of a button into endless realitys. Thats whats so cool. What you have to do though is work out whats worth watching and if you should stick with what you have or change to get a better program. BTW to get the remote, all you have to do if think of the remote control and it should be where you usually keep it or in a similar place. Oh and dont forget to press the button on the tv to turn it on. DUH I have been able at times to will changes on the TV. A few days ago some jerry springer show thing was on and when I looked at a guy I could think what I wanted him to do and he would which was kinda cool Whats so stunning about it though is the clarity and diversity of the programs. They have real stories and depth that amase me. I have a theory about dreaming though to explain this. I dont believe the brain is powerful enough to create such amasing dreams. I belieave that your soul/higher conciousness is connected to your cerebral cortex in your brain and your dreams flow from your soul into the cerebral cortex. I mean I know the brain is powerful but dreams are to complicated and like the TV shows I watch are to diverse and in depth and I dont believe the brain can do it alone.

i did that a couple of times in nonLD dreams. I dont know how it would be for me in LD dreams but in my regular dreams whatever the tv would be showing, it would come to life and jump out at me. I remember playing video games on the tv and ALWAYS i would either start to actaully live the game or it would come out of the tv and jump at me. I'd also probably lose lucidity(i get easily distracted) Im going to try this out in a LD if i am able to and i'll get back to you(im interested to see if the same thing will happen to me like it does for my non-LD's)

lol yea thats funny I was going to say that about video games... that happens to me too. I was playing halflife 2 (out next teusday!!!!!!) a few days ago on the computer and then the next thing im in the game on a train level. I actually have a lot of dreams where im at train stations and I have to catch a train or im on train. Any on else here get that?

That sounds interesting, though in waking life I'm quite opposed to most television, and I doubt dreaming would be much different. But then, maybe dream TV's actually have some good shows on them. Now a TV that plays good programming 24/7 is definitely something that can only exist in the dream world. This idea could be useful for dream controll, too. Just find a big screen TV, find something that looks interesting, and step in. From what I've heard, changing scenes in manners similar to this is easier than just willing it. Another idea: the remote isn't just for the TV anymore. Just label the buttons as you like (various emotions, actions, etc), point at someone, and enjoy!

Hey that sounds like a really cool thing to try. I dont know if I would want to sit in front of a TV while in a Lucid Dream though. I would probably use it as a template for my LD and jump right on into the TV when I found a good program that I liked. Have you ever tried to jump into the program that you are watching in your dream? That would be Sweet!

This is a good concept for controlling LDs. The tv remote comes the remote control of your reality! sounds nice'n efficient. I've dreamt of tv a few times, but never when lucid. In my most recent dream-tv experience, i was changing the channels with a remote, but rather than altering the program, the tv's image would stay the same, but the language in which the tv-speaker was speaking in would change. So with each click the news reporter (or whoever happened to be on tv) would go from french, to german to ancient greek, etc. None of them seemed to be english no matter how much a mashed my remote. In the end, i got so frustrated i woke up angry.

I think if you want to change channels and not like the language you need to focus on what you want and not what you dont. So dont think "I dont want the language to change" think "I want the channel to change". Most often if dreams thinking "I dont want X" instead of "I want X" doesnt work. Sometimes the tv doesnt work for me but if I persist and keep thinking about what I want eventually it works. Dont forget to watch tv when lucid, use dreaming that your in your house as the reminder to go to the tv. After a while everytime your dreaming your in your house you will remember like 99% of the time.

I was in a lucid dream (or half of one; I should have noticed the chinese symbols in place of the time ) and turned on the TV to check the time (DirecTV ) . Well, I dont' remember what was on. All I remember was seein' weird symbols in place of the time O_o

been there, done that i always get wierd tv shows but my brain manifests some cool dream characters and scenery that is real. so i jump in the tv and end up at the new dreamscape Stay Lucid!!

i was watching direct tv in a non lucid and could not for the life of me get back to this one station that i accidentally switched back from. i knew what numbers to press but each time i pushed them i kept accidentally hitting the wrong buttons and going to other channels! ive never walked into the screen on purpose but i have played halo on a tv then suddonly appeared in the game in first person! 8)
