Is God Laughing at Our Expense

I mean is it worth arguing the Science vs Spiriituality Debate...............Or should we just carry on Lucid Dreaming regardless. In other words........are we just here for the ride. I do sometimes forget this is not a Chat-Room. I mean the top Scientists can't even figure how the Brain works so is it worth the worry.

I think it just 'feels' that way to you. You've probably read about or seen documentaries on the scientific and medical progress made throughout history, and you think: "How far we've come"... And then you look at the changes that occured in your own life, and you think... "Hey, we've slowed down, this is silly"... but realize that the giant leaps and bounds we've made were over thousands of years. Someone living in the era where people cured common colds by bleeding the patient (victim hehe) might have asked the same question you just asked... and I bet 1000 years from now, people will look at OUR history and say "damn, people were stupid and backwards then" and wonder if it's all worth it, and so on and so forth. My opinion is, YES, it's worth it. Sure, most people don't make much of a difference, but every now and then, someone stumbles (either by genius or by luck) upon a revolutionary, paradigm-shifting discovery, and all of a sudden, it seems like a giant leap.

yes here for a ride is a good way to put it. either way, i cant conceive of a reason why LDing would be against gods will, whatever that may be. now if OBEs are real, that would be another story...but i wouldnt know. even if OBEs were real i wouldnt consider them evil, unless you take into account the unnaturalness of them.

Actually a lot of OBE authors to go great pains to tell you OBEs are perfectly natural. I personally have no way of knowing whether they're natural or not, because I'm not God. But they certainly feel natural enough to me. Strange, but natural. It's kooky. And the idea that God is laughing at me was the source of one of my worst ever acid trips. That's a really crushing feeling, so don't get hung up on that, believe me. (It'll be ten times worse on a psychedelic drug where you can actually SEE it happening.) But ultimately I don't think God would have anything to laugh about. We're just fiddling around with sleep, I think he would be laughing at us if we were trying to build a ladder to heaven or something.
