The night you are glad you aren't lucid

I am lucid at least 6 days out of a week if not all the time. It's sometimes quite nice to not have a lucid dream. It makes things more exciting for me. Last night I was not lucid and I was glad. I had the most amazing dream. I don't think it would have been achieved if I wasn't lucid.

My dream was set on a wildlife preservation for foxes. I was a security guard that shot poachers with tranquilizers and saved the foxes from being killed. My team and I were the real heros. It was a lot of fun to save the day for the best animal ever. I got to pet foxes and they trusted me. I also got to bring criminals to justice for money. How sweet is that?

I know that if I was lucid I don't think I would have enjoyed this as much. I went through a nice thrill thinking it was real. Even though I woke up sad I was glad I had that short time of thinking it was real. I think that I have too many lucid dreams. I don't want to stop, but I want to let my subconcious make me feel like somewhere else is where my physical body lives.

I think if I had every other day switch off from lucidity to non-lucidity I would have more diversity in my dreams. Have there been dreams when you wanted to be non-lucid?

Do you want to trade lucid dreaming abilities?

I think change is better than trade.

I know what you're talking about. The other night I dreamed that I met up with an old friend I thought I would never see again. We were having a great time when I realized I was dreaming. However, I was able to make a conscious decision to NOT have a lucid dream. I just put any thoughts of it out of my mind... and continued with the dream. For the rest of the night, I didn't know I was dreaming.

I would hate that.......cause my lucid abilities aren't really great...I rarely have Lucid Dreams...about once a week...:/..but if I could boost it up to six, I would go along with what you said.

IMO, its nice to have a mix-up in dreams. They are expecially more exciting when you are tricked into believing it is real

Curiosity killed the cat but at least it didnt die an ignorant bastard
