Is it possible for lucid dreamers to become non lucid?

I know this sound silly, but I was wondering if lucid dreamers can become non lucid in their dreams? If you have done it what is it like?

btw, I mean intentionally becoming non lucid.

Well just something related...some lucid dreamers prefer to NOT take full control of the dream, just control the minor things, they like to see what course the dream is taking on them. Some believe its a different plain of reality, so they try to see what it has to say and offer.

It's sort of like my sister. She says she has lucid dreams and could probably control them. But other than the very beginning she lets the dream run its course. The little bit of control in the beginning is just to set up a story.
