      Wink Lucid dreams and anxiety.

I have a moderate case of anxiety. I was wondering if you could ease or possibly even kill the symptoms by having vivid and positive lucid dreams. Well, I have no clue. Do you?

Sure you could. lds are like training for real life, you can create a stressful situation in a dream and deal with it there knowing that nothing bad can happen. You can only limit yourself and dreams are magical things that have powers that we don't fully understand. Never hurts to try. In Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming I believe they touch on getting over stage freight/public speaking etc. We LDers are the only ones in the world with a rewind button for when we mess up.

Well said. Like half the book talks about possible uses for LDing that affect real life. I can see how you could get over being afraid of talking to others or a fear of bugs... (I tried it but I found imaginary roaches are just as scary as real ones!) But talking in front of a crowd is different. They don't crawl on you-at least I hope not... 400th post!

I know that this thread its old but maybe someone will read it.

I have an idea, but I do not know if its going to work. I`m planning to talk with my subsconcious and make a deal. I'll make sure that he'll ''materialize'' the anxiety and let me phisicaly fight with it in a Lucid Dream. I think that because I have the advance of controlling everything so the battle would not be so hard and the same time it will be fun! But I`m not so sure if its going to work properly, I have no clue if after I defeat my anxiety in a fight it will go away. (And yeah, I know that its a bit strange to talk about my subsconcious with ''him'' but that`s what I see it : the other part of mine who knows everything about my fears and my joys)
