      Heaven and Earth Show (Dreaming)

It was really cool waking up this morning, I sat in front of the TV with a cup of tea and started to watch this program called "The Heaven and Earth Show" and they started talking about dreaming.

My mind was just floating (due to just waking up) and I wasn’t fully paying attention until they introduced this guy called GP Taylor, he started to talk about his experiences of Precognitive Dreams and how he has used them in the past in relation to his writing and predicting future events in his life (from priesthood to deciding to become an author). He was basically saying how we should focus on our dreams and listen to our subconscious and conscious mind in relation to ‘messages’ from God - our dreams are insights in our life etc.

He spoke of the connection animals have to the world and they seem to have a sense of 'whats going on' before it happens (he was talking about being in Rome and had sensed there was an Earthquake near cause all the birds went really silent). It was really fascinating cause I’ve never actually heard people talk about dreaming (in an intelligent and informed way) on the Television in this respect, he even mentioned "It's like Lucid Dreaming" towards the end and I really wish the presenter said to him "What’s Lucid Dreaming?" (they just didn’t seem to 'hear' the word and went on to the next topic).

I wish this was a forum of discussion more on the TV (make more interesting viewing next to all the soaps and other "crap" on the box).

Dammit, i missed it...i was watching a clip of it, then turned over, thinking it wouldn't interest me!
And it does seem a shame that the presenter never asked what lucid dreaming was...i agree with you, there are too many soap operas on, why can't the BBC put a few more 'intelligent' programmes on the television, ones that people are interested in watching?
maybe it's cos we've been fed on a diet of crap telly for so long, we've forgotten what good programmes are...

You really need to be cautious when it comes to listening to other people who get paid to fascinate audiances. Are they really telling the truth or are they performing? For all we know they could have hired Public Relations Researchers to poll the general public and uncover what it is that they most would like to listen to and believe, if somebody were to say it on TV. Indeed we've already have had enough of such stuff. Recent Papers have been published telling us that much of the hype about Lucid Dreaming Control was fabricated in order to generate public interest in Lucid Dreaming. The Truth and the Profit Motive do not quite go hand in hand. People who get paid to book Weekend Seminars are probably thinking more about breaking through to Seven Digit Profit Margins then they are about strictly adhering to the Truth.

Besides, the surest sign that you are being lied to is when somebody tells you exactly what you want to hear.

That strikes me as slightly cynical, but i can see where you are coming from...however, how do we learn anything, if not by listening to other people? I mean, someone must have heard about lucid dreaming from someone else, in order to pass it on..
Does it become like chinese whispers then?
And i think you just have to exercise discernment in what you believe...you don't necessarily have to believe everything someone tells you...

heaven and earth show? Must be an england thing. what kind of things do they discuss?

Anyway, that's pretty interesting. I'd be inclined to believe the animal thing. I remember hearing that during the tsunami not one animal died because they all fled to higher ground. Not sure if it is true though

Curiosity killed the cat but at least it didnt die an ignorant bastard
