Just because you don't know specifically someone who learned lucid dreaming quickly, doesn't mean they don't exist. Children sometimes have them, as I've read in books. Other times, people have them unintentionally. Point is, it's obviously easier for some than others like everything in life.
If you have advice, please share it, because like I said, I'm struggling as much as the OP is.

Yes, it is easier for some than others. My point wasn't really to sound like a jerk (like it looks like I did. :P ) I was just trying to point out that for 99.99% of people, starting LDing is a struggle and you shouldn't think of yourself as someone that is underprivileged, the people that LD easily have some of the most boring LDs I have ever seen, and those that worked hard to get them have amazing LDs, so be glad that you have to struggle. Naturals are boring :D
My advice:
Work hard
Don't stress
Be patient
Follow who you want to end up like
Read... All the time
Dont lose your sense of wonder in dreams
Pay attention to whose advice you take (like mine right now for example)
And I have the 2 most helpful threads that I have made in my signature.

Thanks for the advice, and I'll be sure to visit the links. And yes, common problem on the Internet. You can never tell someone's tone. Happens to me a lot.
